Just saw this today: Jesse Murphy playing with John Medeski, John Scofield and Billy Martin.

Hi all,
It has been a while but I will leave the reason why for another post.
I am in the process of turning my number in as I no longer own a Mustang.
We have an organization here in Reno called Girls Rockin Reno. It is a music camp from April thru June for young ladies between 12 and 17. I promised to donate a bass to this cause because I believe in it so strongly. I was building a light weight Jazz Bass but due to circumstances beyond my control it could not be finished in time. The only other bass I had that a 12 year old could use was my Mustang PJ, so I donated it. Unfortunately I do not forsee a new Mustang in my near future especially during these uncertain times. So I must remove myself from the Remuda(sp?). It hurts alot as this is where I started.
I thank you all for your input, patience, and knowledge and willingness to pass it along.

Thank you for your generous donation - I am sure that the Girls will love the awesome instrument to use. Don't worry about the club. We are always accepting members in the future. I think the Mustang Bass is here to stay for a while since there are 4 models currently!
That was a very cool donation! Just make sure you get pictures and videos to hear it in action when camp is in session!

There is no process for turning in numbers... we just retire them. You are an honorary member forever!
Right on, Flori! Bobby tried to pull that same thing in the Rumble Club, but we told him, emphatically "no", we weren't having any of that. He's too valuable to let go on such a slight technicality. And, sure enough, he came back with a new Rumble, just like we hoped he would. I'm sure everyone appreciates him trying to play by the rules, but @Bobhmcs is not the kinda guy you turn loose of easily. Current owner, or not, he's the man, with the spirit, you want on your team.

Ok point taken. As I cannot run out to my local GC or SA or BG as they have all been deemed non essential and temporarily closed I will trundle off to see what might be available on-line and become current again. As for following the rules, that is a hard habit to break after 32 years in the military. But I will try. As my bootcamp DI said "Yes you are a very trying person".

Here’s a little clip I made over the weekend, using mostly the Aguilar humcanceling J. Compressor, amp, and block from Helix native. Labella low tension flats.

Ok now serially folks,
Boy have things changed. First since I have a 2018 Fender Geddy Lee Jazz bass unused in the box, up for sale I have been given the thumbs up for a replacement Mustang by my daughter. (Hee hee what she doesn't know).
As I started on one sit first pops up a 2019 JMJ in beautiful condition. But just below it is 2020 PJ in three tone burst bought by the seller just last week. He is asking $465. That made my head go. I have a Custom Shop '62 Reissue P, and a American Vintage Geddy Lee bridge pickups just crying to be used. The PJ already comes with a Kickass bridge and I also have a set of Grover Vintage 142C4 tuners that are lonely. But boy does it look different. So it is now question time. Is the neck and headstock the same as in 2017? The neck shape and fit was the primary reason I bought that PJ in 2017 and the headstock was the same as the Precision headstock dimensions so there was enough wood to enlarge the machine head holes to accept full size tuners. From the pictures they look a bit smaller. Also did Fender ever address the 3 way switch or will that be a issue again. Finally you that know me will never guess what color pickguard it has! 3 tone burst with a "Mint" pickguard?! Ok I made my point. So the choice rests on the neck and headstock size for the PJ. This is due to my Severe RA. If not then there is a whole slew of questions between the JMJ and the Performer.
Any and all input would be greatly appreciated.

Someone here recently bought one of the new Performer series, and also owned one of the previous PJs. They said they couldn’t tell any difference between the two except for finish and fingerboard options.
Here are the specs of his PJ if that would help. What I didn't notice is he changed the pickguard to black and it is a CME special edition. Which both are fine to me.

So is it like mine? This is a CME before I did my mods. The CME is exactly like the regular PJ, just different color and fingerboard.
