Fender Mustang Club

CIJ body with a JMJ neck. View attachment 4882233

Beautiful! And I love the JMJ necks! I have one on a PJ build I did a while back, and I have an Oly White body I'm waiting on a neck for. The JMJs have gotten expensive, but I am probably going to jump on the next I see. It's just such a natural feeling "P" style neck, with the broken in, rolled feel, the REAL rosewood and the 1.625 nut. Worth it to me! I like your Mustang and the oly white posted under it!

Hi all,

I bought a Squier CV Mustang earlier this year. Strung it with LaBella LTFs and it's been my main player since. The only thing that bugs me about it is the volume drop when rolling off the tone knob. I typically set my volume and tone at 7, and roll up or down from there. I think the fix to this is to move the wire from the middle lug of the tone pot to one of the outside ones. But I'm not sure which one and I wanted to confirm with this group. I don't think the pots need to be replaced, or different values brought in. I think it's just how the volume and tone are wired.

Thanks for your help!

For those wondering about the sound of the Serek LZN B90, here's a quick video. There's a bit more clack that I think is primarily coming from the strings not liking my technique or my set-up or both. This morning I re-installed a set of Labella 760F-MUS strings and I think the issue is more or less solved. Sometime in the next few days I'll try to make another video and we'll see if the issue is solved. In the meantime here is a taste of the pup.

Also, does anyone have any thoughts about the drop in volume with the tone control?
