Posted this over in the SS thread, but thought I would share it here as well...

Decided my #1 needed a small accessorizing adjustment... just added a small vinyl decal. Ordered it from ebay and because of the low price, figured if it looked cheap I would just trash it. But once it arrived I was pleasantly surprised.

Very cool mods. The black on the buttercream looks great. Is that a Hipshot bridge? Do you know the model? I would love to do that with mine.

@ElCrowg gets style points for the clever reference to a great film! Short scale side show?

that's nice looking mustang.
a just added a basmute to my JMJ mustang and i love it with it:

I love the way it looks on the Mustang tailpiece. It looks like it belongs there. Not so much on other basses I've seen. I've used the foam under the strings approach on and off for years, but not doing it lately; but that looks so cool on the Mustang, I'm considering getting one!!

If anyone wants a copy of a Fender mute for their JMJ or CIJ, I have one left, yours for shipping. You would need to bend it. These are not originals, sold my JMJ and CIJ so no need for this anymore.

i would definitely like one. PM incoming.

This is the correct file url of my third Mustang. Is it a VM? I don't know:

This is my green one:

And this is the white one - the same model as the green one:

I know the green and white are the model that is currently sold by Squier.

Excellent to see someone else using the single coil versions on these, the P/J one seem so common.

Sorry if that's incorrect, I've not been in this thread much since the title is Fender and I have Squiers. :D Some folks feel that's a more important distinction than I do.
