Have your attorney call my attorney. They'll do lunch, and bill us each @ $750/hr
On top of that, the world's supply of ebony is drastically smaller than the world's supply of rosewood. In fact, most of the Indian Rosewood coming out of India is grown on plantations, so it's a completely renewable source of wood. With Fender switching to ebony it simply means ebony will be added to the CITIES list that much sooner.
But the ebony will only be on the higher end instruments. Pau Ferro will be on the majority of instruments. This is what I was thinking .. Ebony is even more "rare".... Especially the even colored black/ Dark Ebony
Does this really solve any issues or is it simply marketing?
I don't like the looks. I can't tell the sound difference. Not sure why more people don't like maple boards?
I Do have a solid Ovangkol guitar...isn't that glorified rosewood?
I had a Peavey Cirrus 4-string with a pauferro fretboard that sounded like a million bucks. I doubt there's much of a Sonic difference between pau ferro and Rosewood.I have a bass with pau ferro, and nobody ever said it looks cheap. It wasn't cheap, either.
Huh…you're right. Sounds like it'd be better to just chill over drinks and nachos drool while contemplating additional uses for Sharpies.

My goodness those are some of the cheapest looking basses I have ever seen I'll give you $500 for the whole lot but you have to pay shipping that's the best I can do.
Yes it did. Although it was actually made in the USA along side the AVRI '62 Jazz basses. I played one many times at a store and it was wonderful.Didn't the MIM Jaco-sig Jazz from a few years back have a Pau Ferro fretboard? If so, I'd like to invite anyone who had or even sampled one to chime in.
