I hope FMIC should relaunch the modern player again.

Indian Rosewood can be called simply Rosewood, but its not the Brazilian Rosewood of yore that was always called simply Rosewood.
The Brasílian rosewood is still banned but the Indian rosewood is not.
And the Indian rosewood is now being grown in control in specific forests with replenish plans so it’s allowed to be used.
That said though, it seems to me the Indian rosewood is a bit less dark than the Brazilian so when I order my wood, I specify dark Indian rosewood. That’s what you see in my avatar picture on the left.

Probably a marketing strategy to eliminate "Made in Mexico" from the headstock to get more sales !
You mean with a real Mustang pickup and bridge? I would like that too. Until then, my Squier Classic Vibe '60s Mustang Bass does that, but i would like one with a fatter neck.

FMIC use others name to make the Player II look better in QC than Player I. This is a vulgar trick common use on FMIC.
I'd love a Pawn Shop revival too! But I think Fender does their experimenting in the Squier Paranormal line now. Shouldn't be too difficult for them to whack one of those Rascal Bass humbuckers into a Classic Vibe...
