Again, way to think outside the box, Fender.
Stick in the mud. Some of us are just excited for new colors and rosewood fretboards! But thanks for the history lesson!According to Wikipedia the Jazz Bass, sometimes shortened to J Bass has been in continuous production since 1960.

Ok. I hear ya.Stick in the mud. Some of us are just excited for new colors and rosewood fretboards! But thanks for the history lesson!
Yes.So, we couldn't get rosewood for a while because it was becoming indangered but now it's not?
The Brasílian rosewood is still banned but the Indian rosewood is not.So, we couldn't get rosewood for a while because it was becoming indangered but now it's not?
Probably a marketing strategy to eliminate "Made in Mexico" from the headstock to get more sales !https://reverb.com/en-gr/item/83348456-fender-player-ii-telecaster-hh-black
I found a Reverb listing of a Player II Telecaster. Interestingly, the back of the headstock now reads "Made in Ensenada".

You mean with a real Mustang pickup and bridge? I would like that too. Until then, my Squier Classic Vibe '60s Mustang Bass does that, but i would like one with a fatter neck.Wake me when there’s a proper player mustang
It’s not that it’s not endangered per se, but an exception to the CITES regulations was made for musical instruments some years ago.So, we couldn't get rosewood for a while because it was becoming indangered but now it's not?
Yes, all that. No disrespect to the excellent vintera 2, but I need truss rod access at the headstock and I need it under $1000. Also Pawn Shop Mustang 2 when???You mean with a real Mustang pickup and bridge? I would like that too. FMIC use others name to make the Player II look better in QC than Player I. This is a vulgar trick common use on FMIC.https://reverb.com/en-gr/item/83348456-fender-player-ii-telecaster-hh-black

I'd love a Pawn Shop revival too! But I think Fender does their experimenting in the Squier Paranormal line now. Shouldn't be too difficult for them
