So, finally decided to buy a Fender P. From what I've heard, the Player Series (MIM) is pretty good and within my budget. Please help me choose color . Choosing between the classic Buttercream and the very cool Tidepool but I just can't make up my mind. And of course, there's always carrots...

I'd probably go with the Tidepool because I already have a Blonde P but honestly, all 3 of the ones you have pictured there are pretty nice looking basses.

In that series, I like the Black or the Burst with maple.

Buttercream would be third, I’d rather the Fender Vintage white or Olympic white than Buttercream if it were offered.

I must say that I'm very surprised with the big interest in my very simple question, I love this forum! Of course the color means nothing for the feeling or tone (apart from the fretboard ) but the same goes with the color of your car...

...apologies, mate (old man being grumpy I suppose...) no offense intended... you should get whatever color appeals to your eye... and I wish you the best of luck with your new bass...

Buttercream and maple. My favorite, hands down. But you're going to need to lose the boring white guard. Brown tort would be my choice but it's your bass. Whatever blows your skirt up is fine. Gotta sound good first and pretty comes in second place.

All of these colors are cool, but all need a black pickguard.

Honestly, that's only way I could ever see myself with a buttercream bass. But you do you!

If it was bright white instead of buttercream, I would have chosen white (looks so good with a white pearl pickuard). So, in this case, tidepool gets the vote.

Never saw a Tidepool in person, very LPB I'd you ask me. I intended to get the Capri Orange but in person it looks too "creamsicle" push-up pop. I wanted late 70s K-mart food court.

The buttercream is classic and should age nicely.

Once again I would go by what I already have. So as much as I love buttercream/butterscotch, I already have one but I do not have a blue bass. So I'd chose the blue.

In any case blonde bass for the win. Be it butterscotch or vintage-blonde
