Fender Precision Bass with a Maple Board Thoughts?

Hey Guys,

I’m new to talkbass and apologies if this has been asked a million times already.

Thoughts please on a possible change to a Maple board?

- Black on black w/ Maple
- Candy Apple Red (Nate body) black pickguard w/ Maple
- Sunburst black pickguard w/ Maple
- Or a 2 tone Sunburst Road Worn P?

I vote red w black pickguard. Handsome looking stage combo.

I love black and maple all day but feel it is suited to a more "metal" look.

Honestly, Olympic white and maple looks amazing, IMO. Here's my wife's strat for example.

I have had my Olympic white P Bass with a Rosewood board for nearly 20 years now and it’s time for a change! I’m going a “new look” with a Maple board.

Thoughts please?

The one on the right was specifically requested with white pearloid inlays rather than black blocks
Different strokes for....

Now maybe I’d go for black pearloid blocks?

Personally I'd lean towards the Black or Red... But it's what you prefer isn't it...
