I'm just taking it as the universe signaling me to enjoy the ones I have and don't be all greedy. God knows I'm doing fine.

Most price increases happen “overnight”.
The inflation is here now ... who knows how long will it last?
A lot of other things are going up faster than instruments ... Home and car and fuel prices are going crazy
I make good money, but I don't play brand new Fenders ... I build cheaper basses for myself
Yeah, i was about 85% go to buy a jazzmaster guitar i've been eyeing. Had it loaded in my cart yesterday, and this morning it was 200 more...![]()
The fact that they have been raising prices faster than inflation for the last 6-7 years and still outsell their own production really suggests they won’t scare many people with the increase. The fact that they still don’t shield and don’t use ebony and Birdseye and swamp ash like their lower priced competitors suggests they don’t have to, not that they don’t want to. Within 10 years the 60s-70s era kids will be long aged out of the buying market. That’s when they need to worry. But not today. Today I (me, I 100% admit this) willingly pay more just for the label because I love the brand.Way to go Fender! Price yourselves out of business!
Well that is 8 years, so not surprising, although not sure how it's relevant to this conversation.Money is worth less since Dec '13.
The 2008 one is still being baled out.Hunker down, a recession is coming.
Hey, at least Squiers are only up $10?

buy'em all quick doc and the harley too before it goes up![]()
Maybe ask the retailer if they’d honor the older price. They might not but you never know.
There is a very good reason I buy used Basses.
The price of your next used bass just went up. There will be a little lag, but used prices follow new prices. Let's say I'm selling a 2005 Sadowsky, do I base my price on what I bought it for in '05 or what the equivalent is selling for new now? Current prices, of course.
I think its beyond us to solve that problem. What do you suggest? I'm all ears....But most people will just complain instead of try to offer a solution, it is a shame.
