It is expensive running a business in Ca. Fender laid off 300 workers due to recession fears.

...and they're SOOO concerned...Fender is crazy. I'll be sure to NEVER buy another new bass from them.
Yeah.Is it that time of year for the "Fender price increase" threads already? Wow, time flies!
I wonder if we will see a "record profits for fender in 2022" anytime soon. 2020 was great for them too. I mean, makes sense. Squeeze'em squeeze'em and milk'em dry. Capitalism must go on. Shareholders need a new yacht or 20, dog dammit! It is expensive running a business in Ca. Fender laid off 300 workers due to recession fears.
Gold is your solution, not unnecessary debt-fueled spending.
In gold a 1950’s Fender costs much less today than in 1950’s. Same with houses, beachfront property, supercars, vacations, dentistry, etc. Again, this isn’t a “for a few years now” thing. It’s been true for all of human history.
...and they're SOOO concerned...
Hmmm...
Another Fender bashing thread...weird.
So they're the only company raising prices? BS
Anyone bother to compare what a Fender cost in the 60's to todays dollars?
Just buy used, always.
One of the major bass guitar retailers in Australia is promoting a price increase by Fender of 10 to 15% as of 1 January 2023. Has anyone else from another country heard of similar price increases?

Their US made basses were over priced and now they are ridiculous. There are so many better builders out there.
Yep it does, always. Like the American Performer jazz I just got for 900 bucks instead of 1500 new. It wasn’t played, it still has the sticker on the pickguard. Light, perfect neck, etc. A lot of the best bases are a couple years old or are out of production anyway. No thanks. Glad it works for you, though.
