If they'd gone matching Tort headstock, really would have had something. Missed opportunity.
I would go for the inverse, mint body and tort guard. BTW Warmoth has the tort bodies.

Not really, I had a Squier Strat that was cherry burst with a "mint" guard, always thought it was white.
no: i like that it only weighs 13 ounces, but can someone post a link to the fretless options? as an alternative i'd like to see a tortless fret. thanks.

I’m no fashionista , but the color of the pick guard should only be of one of the hues of the body paint. Pick your favorite and have at it.
Agreed. If this is to be a TalkBass bass, it needs to have ALL the tort. Not just A LOT of tort, but ALL the tort.
Hopefully Fender's Talkbass special will work out better than Hammersmith's.

Is this particular Tort a celluloid based material? If it is, I’m thinking that it may be a bit too flammable for most Bass players environments.
