Fender Road Worn Precision on the way....!!!

It's shipped by UPS so.........

Of course I have to play it for 5 minutes before I can make any comments on the newbe!!
But I will compare it with my 59CS anyway.
I just bought the bass online in Germany because they are very hard to get over here.: (read no stocks at all)
I sure I'm they will be sold out in the next couple of days.

We'll keep in touch!

Cheers,

Theo
The Netherlands (not Germany...)

I see...In that case you have to check the "Don't drag behind truck" "Don't run over with truck" "Don't throw under bus" and "Don't drop in ocean" checkboxes.

;)

It's a Road Worn, though. How would he tell if it had been or not? That's kind of the point.

I kid, I kid - it's a neat looking instrument. : : dons asbestos boxers just in case: ;) Enjoy the new P-bass!

No offense, but I never understood buying a new bass that's already beat up, buy a used one or get a new one and put it through the ringer by playing it :D

I know. I've never understood posting in a thread just to say that you don't understand what other people are into... this is like popping into a "ERB" thread and saying "no offense, but I never understood the need for more than 4 strings... you should stick to four strings or buy keyboard"

Do you walk into a gay bar, just so that you can go up to the gay guys sitting there and say "no offence, but I've never understood why guys would become gay, I mean, I'm into chicks... you should just date a really ugly chick..."

...just funnin with you a bit - but I hope you get the point...

PS - I'm interested in hearing the review of the roadworn P bass - subscribed!~

Yeah, wasn't knocking his preference, just making conversation, I really did mean the "no offense" :D No different than stating you like something, I wasn't being rude, just stating my opinion. Now if I had said something like "DUDE *** WHY DO YOU LIKE THAT CRAP LOL!!!11" you may have had a point. Regardless I'm sure it will be a cool bass.

I'm not into the whole 'pretend your bass is old when it's not' thing - but I played all the Fenders at the booth this year and I really liked the road worn instruments. They played and sounded better than most of Fender's current offerings.

I'd like to see what you think of it, I haven't seen the RW basses yet but the guitars look pretty good in person. It looked so good I had to sniff it just to see if it smelled like old cigarettes but it didn't.

Man, I wish I'd seen those boxes when I had a bike shipped from L.A. to Philly. Silly me. I always wondered why the box was punctured in a dozen places, and the frame was bent and dinged up beyond repair. At least it was dry, so I guess it didn't go through the ocean, but maybe that's because there's no ocean on a cross country route. Thanks for clearing that up. :D

Looking forward to a review of the bass. I tried a Road Worn Strat, and it seemed like a good axe.
