I asked myself and this forum the same question only weeks ago. I took the risk and decided on the combo over the rig, and I'm so glad I did. As you suggest, the combo is easy to move around. More importantly, the combo is a powerhouse of sound. And it carries with it the assurance that getting even more sound is an easy extension cabinet away. When I made the decision to buy the combo, I was convinced even before I played a note that I'd get an extension right off the bat, something like a 115 or another 210 (or even a 410) just to make sure my sound was big enough.
Guess what? Having played with my enthusiastic colleagues (guitarist & drummer) I can say the combo doesn't need any help. Even at moderate settings, the combo held its own. Tonight I get to road test it at a gig. I suspect it will do a great job. If you get a chance, go to your local music shop and have a play. And get ready to Rumble!
I hope not. There are currently supply issues in Australia. My music shop suggested that Fender are trying to keep up with demand and that extension cabs (115 + 210) won't be available until at least mid-March.
Is it Fender Friday already? Isn't this the night that Leo Fenderclaus slides down the chimney and leaves new basses for all the good little boys and girls? Lol
Well folks, I just placed an order for the Rumble Studio 40. Should arrive sometime later next week, and will try to give a basic report on the features after I do some exploring. Not expecting gig-level volume, of course, but mainly plan to have it around the house for low-volume practice and fun with the various effects & models. Plus, I like that I can use it to potentially power other amp heads if needed. I've got a new AK Changeling 12T that still needs a "big boy" amp to power it. That said, I think the Studio 40 will make for a really fun "swiss-army-like" combo of sounds.

But how about 2 210s vs 2 410s?
So I guess the next question is, 500C and add a 210 cab later, or just get the head/cab then add the second 210 cab later?
