Hi all. Looking for a home practice amp. Recently tried out a Rumble 25 and was very impressed. However, I didn't get a chance to try a 5 string through one...
Any suggestions for which Rumble to look at for use with an active 5? Strictly home use, possible very small jams, not for live use.
Thanks!
Here is the owners manual for the Studio 40 and Stage 800.
This...+1You don't NEED the extension cab for most applications. But the way the sound fills the space, even at the same volume settings, has to be experienced to be appreciated. Can't really explain it but I know from experience that it works. Plus having the speakers up where they're not shooting at your knees is a big plus.
The 25 is excellent, but the 40 is my go-to for home practice.Hi all. Looking for a home practice amp. Recently tried out a Rumble 25 and was very impressed. However, I didn't get a chance to try a 5 string through one...

Why?I almost forgot, I have two Rumbles. I have the Rumble 500 combo, and a Rumble 30. I use the 30 strictly for home practice, and it does its job. I am seriously considering buying the Stage 800 and selling the 500.
Why?
I've played two 5ers through my 25, a Squier VM J and a Mike Kelley Dragonfly fretless. The low B sounds nice and fat.Hi all. Looking for a home practice amp. Recently tried out a Rumble 25 and was very impressed. However, I didn't get a chance to try a 5 string through one...

For Studio and Stage owners: does the new series sound like the v3 at all on a preset or 2?
To me the vintage rumble v3 settings are alike the sound on my rumble 100 v3

I’m certainly intrigued by the new Rumbles, but I don’t really have any use for one myself, and I’m more than satisfied with what I get from my 40 and 500 combos. That said, I’m sure the new ones are extremely versatile and useful tools for bass players who need a lot of different tones on tap.I'm positive Linnin is going to buy a Studio 40 PDQ from the local Fender dealer, maybe he'll come back to give us the skinny.
I'll get up there to check one out when they're stocked, but I'm too tone deaf to give a detailed review.
To clarify, @ursus, are you saying, "To me the vintage rumble v3 settings on my Rumble Stage 800 are like the sound on my rumble 100 v3"?
