Fender Rumble Club

thats awesome! i rock a r100 combo too and wondering if it will hold up for a small gig coming up.
how big was the venue you played?

Sorry to say I haven't giggled it yet this was in a 16X20 rehearsal space.
I anticipate going through the PA at any real gig I get down here in Austin, and use the Rumble for stage monitoring at the same volume that I would play for rehearsal. So this little amp is giving me exactly what I need.

So I played in the pit for School of Rock at our local theater and I used my 40 Studio and my 40V3 linked together and it sounded great!! Here are a few picks. Notice I am the old guy in the group

So I’m considering the Bassman 800 HD to go with my Rumble 410 cab. So I sent an email to Fender to see what the watts would be with 8 ohms. This is not the answer I was expecting.

If you're asking for max watts at 8 ohms for the Bassman 800, I think I read somewhere that it's 500 watts. If that's right, you're in good shape with the Rumble 410, which is rated 500 watts continuous and 1,000 watts program.

I think Brett Arney misunderstood your question. Or I did. But I haven't been able to find a digital copy of the manual, so I could be wrong.

Ask in the Official Fender Bassman Club, where there are several BM800 owners.

According to this excerpt from the Fender Bassman 500/800 Manual, the Bassman 800 is rated for 500 watts at 8 ohms:

I could use a footswitch for my Rumble 500C. Do I need TS or TRS? I've got a couple of generic latching TRS footswitches but I've been lazy and haven't tried em out yet.
This is the foot-switch I bought for my R500C...Its fitted with 2 "mono" 1/4" plugs..(Tip and Shield) both ends of the supplied cord as shown next to the switch, the plugs are like the one in the bottom pic. One end plugs into the switch...the other goes into the rear of the 500C into the FTSW socket.

The manual doesn't explicitly say, but I got this from it:
Any generic single-button latching-type footswitch will
work
So, I take that to mean TS would be fine.

The Stage 800 is 400 continuous watts into 8 ohms. Same power section as the Bassman 800. @tombowlus is winding up his review of the Bassman 800 which includes bench testing for actual wattage.

Actually, the power section in the Stage 800 is not the same power section used in the Bassman 800. The one in the Bassman 800 is non-regulated, which results in there being more dynamics to the measureable power. That is the unit we are measuring right now, and it is performing VERY well on the bench.

As you kno, we also have the Stage 800 in for review, but I have not turned it over to our Technical Editor, Dan Kropp, just yet. I'm having too much fun getting to know it, myself! :D
