Fender Rumble Club

I have a separate amp head. I still have the 100. You are a help in that I may find out the extra gear may not be necessary. Back in the day I just had a Baseman 40 watt head and two cabinets with 2x15 each. Peddles and special effects had not arrived yet except for fuzz, wha wha, and reverb. Just trying to get myself up to speed on the technology. I should use the name Rip Van Winkle.....:)

You sound like me...only I refer to myself as a dinosaur, just not quite extinct :bag::help:.

Yes. Don't over tighten but yes! Good luck.

Thanks and yes, I should've clarified - I did go around and tighten everything on the exterior, and removed the casters when I removed the grille. it solved everything except when I play f# or a for whatever reason lol

so I guess I'll open everything up further and see what I can see

So first this happened... I was called intalecually lazy, and I responded

Am I the only one that can be honest here?!!! I get it... Linnin is way more valuable to this thread than I am. But just admit that that’s why you guys put up with his behavior while doubling down on others. Just tell me that I have blasphemed your messiah and that I should repent. But stop lying about an obvious double standard as if it doesn’t exist. I’ve tried to move on from this issue three times already... Can we please talk about rumbles??? Praise be to Linnin! Happy now?

Give 'em 'ell, kid! When ya wear out from all this, jump on over to the Combo Club and talk Rumble with a number who also belong in this Rumbler Gang. The difference is there's love for all brands of Fender, Ampeg, GK, Markbass, etc. We work hard to keep it civil and respect those with differing opinions. No zealots need apply! We're just about having fun and talking combos. Stop on in, show an amp pic, and grab a number. That goes for anyone else in this club, of which I also belong to, though lost interest due to the unsettling vibe that's run through its pages the past few years. To each his or her own, I guess.

Oh! OK, Guy with Old P Bass, nothing wrong with exploring technology, if that's what you want to do. Shoot, I occasionally play around with my Variax bass, Line6 Bass Pod XT Live pedal and B-DEC bass modeling amp, too. But I just never got into the single button pedals, even after our lead guitarist went on vacation and left me his FuzzFace so I could switch from rhythm to lead and learn that new song on the radio, "Incense and Peppermint". Yep, that long ago!

I appreciate it! I actually deleted that post just moments after I first posted it. No sense in arguing. This is just a perfect display of certain human behaviors that are at best hilarious, and at worst dangerous. I’d rather it be over something trivial like amps rather than bigger ideologies.

+1 for The Combo Club, for anyone here. Good place to visit and talk all makes of combo amps, with friendly camaraderie, too.

This is a good compressor thread to follow: Testing Compressors: Cali, Smoothie, Empress, Diamond, Keeley, FEA, Darkglass, Doc Lloyd, JHS & more

I highly recommend that you read the recommendations and reviews here: Compressor Reviews

FWIW, I recently picked up the Darkglass Hyper Luminal and really love it.
