Fender Rumble Club

The reason for the 210 is to to get a mini stack. I've used one in the past, an inline array of 410s stacked to about chest high, and it was like the tone gods descended. The only thing better is a full-on SVT. regular square-array 410s are too low to be heard on most stages. and from my experience, they project well past where I am standing, into the audience. so the audience is being killed with bass, while I hear none.

Good evening, fellow Rumblers,

Played with my band and the 500 & 410 had a good time. Yee all know the might of Fender's 'terrible' Twin: no problem there, and Mr 500 Head and Mrs 410 became good friends with the drums.
Which made me think: why would you want to wait for a 210, while you can 'have' the 410 right now? It does it all.

The only deference is the power, weight and ohms(ok,and little money extra). The 500 head with the 4x10 puts out 350w at 8ohm,the 500 head with 2 2x10 puts out 500w at 4 ohms with the same cone area and a little extra weight to carry as a whole. If you consider that the 2x10 is easier to carry individual but with double the itinerary it,s easy to understand why we are so excited.

I see. Like your 'tone gods' and the 'audience being killed with bass' part. ;)

Weight...

you guys should really try a vertical inline array of 410s some time. you won't believe the goodness therein. The Rumble 210s aren't vertical, so I'm not certain what I'll get, but I hope it's close enough. Like a hand grenade.

Just imagine what it's gonna be like trying to get one of the new extension cabs when they come out.
Just order and wait. Demand for Rumble 500's is nothing short of phenomenal. On the guitar side of things Fender's Champion 40 & 100's are also experiencing hand-over-fist sales with exceedingly strong demand outstripping supply. Both the Rumble and Champion lines are assembled in the same Indonesian facility which is where the new Rumble 210 and 112 cabinets will be made.

I'll be interested to see the form factor of the 210. Are we assuming the size, weight and speaker configuration will closely match the 500 combo?
I'm going on an assumption that the 210 cab will be built like a 500 combo minus the head and with side handles added too handle deleted and add the magnetic attachment system pieces.

That would be the best of all worlds IMO. The single handle on top is not a very ergonomic way of lifting, even on lightweight cabs/combos. In the case of cabs, it really mucks with putting amp heads on top.

My thought process behind it is basically this. Company A has a product with X features, say a car, and they want to sell a similar product with fewer features, but cosmetically similar. Say a Camaro with a V-6 instead of a V-8. Instead of retooling and running a separate line for the V6 and V8 models, they simply split the existing line and drop different parts in to make the different models.

The difference between a 210 cab, and a 210 combo cabinet wise is a different top and back, and likely one or two minor internal baffle changes. The other pieces are already being cut en masse, corner pieces already produced, grilles and logos etc... already there. Just a few minor changes and bada bing you have a new product to throw to market...

The new 210 cabs actually might explain the issue with Rumble 500 combo supply too. Demand is high while they are spinning the line up for the combo AND the cabs...Stressing the MFG of them...

I am in no HUGE hurry, but will certainly get my order in, maybe as a Christmas request for this upcoming year... By then I may be able to actually use it..

The Rumble 25 is most definitely worth the extra $20 over the 15.
Went by the shop this morning to take a look around. The 25 was the smallest of the Rumbles they had. Took it for a spin with a Squier Bronco SS and a Squier Jazz Bass. Discovered very quickly that I didn't need more than an almost feather touch to put out a healthy amount of sound.

Just waiting for Friday payday. After taking care of a couple of prior commitments, that 25 should be coming home with me. If management takes care of the OT that was missing from my last check, it's nearly certain. :)
