Fender Rumble Club

Cheers! Good point about NAMM. I'll do just that.

Ah, I meant that I have about $300 in amazon gift cards from X-mas, so I can't go over unless I bring out my credit card. Since I'll now be waiting until sometime after NAMM, I should be able to fit a bit extra into my budget. Unfortunately, no music stores where I live so, I'm stuck getting gear online. Thanks!
Unless you really want the new 210 cab, I'd go right ahead and romp on a Rumble 115 cab. It'd be an excellent choice for your Tone Hammer. Plus it's hard to say how soon the 210's will actually reach these shores. I expect pre-orders to very very strong. Either way you get to join the Fender Rumble Club. No snobbery here, just good decent folks having a good time while enjoying great tone!

:D Rumbles Rule! :D

Just for you Dave, my non-colored knob burrito!

Darn, I didn't think about that. haha I might still wait until NAMM to see what's up, but will go ahead and pull the trigger on the 115 if the 210 pre-orders are overwhelming. Anyway, thanks so much for chiming in and I look forward to joining you guys in the Rumble club. :D

Hey guys, I'm new here!

I just picked up a Rumble 40 for a short tour in the coming month, I absolutely love this thing.

I was looking at the Ampeg BA-115 at first , the wedge tilt option intrigued me and the size and wattage looked about right.

But when checked out the Rumble 40, the sheer light weightness of the thing blew my mind! 18lbs! I couldn't believe it.

Then I plugged it in...

These amps sell themselves. It's ridiculous, I'm so happy. (^__^)

Membership application pending. The local music store carries mostly Fender amps, and has a few Rumbles of varying sizes. The 15 and 25 are currently on my radar. Budget reasons keep me from going bigger at present (not to mention I've been playing seriously for... a week.) Car repairs and sudden hospital stays piled on top of regular bills get in the way. But I realize I do need one ASAP. Neighbors on another forum *cough*SteveHoffman*cough* are yelling at me for developing bad plucking habits by practicing without an amp. :)

The Rumble 25 is most definitely worth the extra $20 over the 15.

I think I'm the first guy to complain about the discolored knobs. My 500 head had them, and a replacement that Sam Ash offered me had them too. Fender stepped up and replaced the knobs, they were perfect. Then I put the amp in its little bag and it sat for awhile... and the discoloration is back.
Therefore, the problem is with the bag - the dye is somehow interacting with the plastic in the knob. I'd say rubbing off, but the discoloration won't wipe off.
So there, problem identified, but not actually solved.

But what's this I hear about new Rumble gear and a 2x10 cab? God, did you hear me at last?

I am glad to hear the source of the dis colored knobs is the bag.

I use it and now take a Fender flannel cloth and cover the knobs in the bag.

Great info.

Good evening, fellow Rumblers,

Played with my band and the 500 & 410 had a good time. Yee all know the might of Fender's 'terrible' Twin: no problem there, and Mr 500 Head and Mrs 410 became good friends with the drums.
Which made me think: why would you want to wait for a 210, while you can 'have' the 410 right now? It does it all.
