Fender Rumble Club

I'm glad I took a minute to come back to this thread!
I've had a Rumble 500 combo since September and have used it at big venues, small clubs, outside, etc and have found that I never needed an extension cabinet. And i'm up against two guitars/drums/sax/keys.
I love this amp, and so does my back.
My plan was to get the 1x15...at this point just to have it, but now that this 2x10 cabinet is coming out...I think that might be the way to go. great news.

I have a question. My rumble 40 and headphones...

I have Sennheiser 380 pro's that sound "buzzy" when plugged in. If I plug in some cheap sony's they sound okay. Should I be concerned? Has anyone else tried higher impedance headphones with their rumbles? I am wondering if the headphone output is just not quite enough to drive the Sennheiser's, but the manual says to use at least 32 ohm. These are 54 ohm I think.

Some headphones are overwhelmed when fed pure bass guitar rather than, say, an entire band. You would think my expensive AKG K-240 studio cans would sound better than my inexpensive Audio-Technica M-30's, but surprise, they don't.

I am planning on buying a Rumble 500 as soon as I sell a couple of odds and ends around the hose on eBay first. I haven't had a Fender amp since my bassman in 1978 and I can't wait! I'd like to be in the club too but won't actually own one for another month or so. Thanks. I play a '63 tribute Frankenstein p bass that I love.
That's plenty good enough, RRDieselbass! ;) Welcome to the Fender Rumble Club, You are member #332 :hyper:

:D Rumbles Rule! :D

Thanks all. The Sennheiser sound great hooked up direct to an ipod. They sound good for the aviom system at church when they mix the iem correctly, but I have had no success with them with any of my bass amps. Oh well, I guess I will just have to tell everyone that I can't practice in silence!

I sure hope not. The weight on that is too high. Why would a 210 combo weigh in at 36 lbs, but a 210 cab weigh in at 44 lbs?

Dimensions are off too, so it wouldn't match the 500 combo all that well...

And at only $20.00 lower than the V3 410 cab... I would tend to go for the 410 cab and beg for help moving it...
