Fender Rumble Club

For the convenience of The Club, Rizillin allowed me to add his pic and the Amazon link to the Fender blackface badge to the Rumble Wiki (link in my signature) in the Fender Rumble Modifications section. So, you can easily find it later!
:woot:
So, now @Rizillin and @NHM both have the elusive 2-screw flat plastic logo badge that is OEM to the Rumbles, but almost impossible to find! Auction, anyone?

Rumble On!
Nope. I'm keeping mine! ;)

@leerod054 You won't be able to hear those low frequencies on a phone. Use an aux cable to connect your phone to the combo, and I promise, you WILL hear and feel it and...you'll definitely see it moving your speakers too if you remove the speaker cover, which I recommend so you can closely monitor them! Be careful! Start at low volume, which with Rumble combos is controlled by the source (cell phone etc), NOT the amp knobs...those do not work and are automatically disengaged when the aux is connected. So start with your phone media volume all the way down then slowly bring it up. I found the 500 could handle both those vid full volume on my phone, but clearly that won't be the case for everyone. Thanks.
Thanks I've got the upgraded eminence PF 10m that goes in the portaflex Ampegs so I'll watch it real close.

Fender Rumble 800 HD head, MXR M108S 10 band graphic EQ & TC Spectracomp are on the way. I intend to recreate my Ampeg SVT 4 Pro in a class D image, we shall see.

Cool, Roddy! What cabs do you plan to drive with that li'l bundle o' dynamite?

May I suggest a particularly Rumbley 8x10, consisting of 4 Rumble 210 cabs!!! WOWZA MOMMA!! :bassist:

He's gonna make Phil Lesh jealous!
One of the things I regret[there are many]is not buying at least one "module" for the Kasino. The amp has 2x15s but modules could have 6 or 8x10s or 4x12s and each "module" had a power amp, all being controlled by the knobs on the main amp. You could add as many as the electrical circuit could handle. I never woulda needed it/them but it woulda been fun, esp. when I was younger and willing(er) to move all that....er.....stuff.

Could each module pass the signal to the next, with only one connection on the master amp? :woot:

3 simple steps to making your Rumble sound it's best!

I recently got a new Fender rumble 500 combo, despite 25 yrs of thump'n, it's the first new cab I've ever bought. I have always purchased used gear. *My standard gigging rig is a 1998 David Eden WT-400 with Ashdown 210 and Ashdown 410 cabs.

That being said, right out of the box I could hear the "newness" and strained tightness and fartiness of the speakers so I did a 12 hour burn in/frequency test and it's the best decision I could have made to get the combo sounding great and ready for gigging with minimal effort.

I burned in the speakers for 12 hours: 4 hours a night for 3 nights in a row and let me tell you...it sounds like a totally different combo and the tone and speaker response now is night/day difference and totally amazing. Here is what I did:

1) Four hours of this video, SAFE volume level:
2) Four hours of this video, SAFE volume level:
3) Then I used a looper for four hours. I recorded finger style (which I play 99% of the time), a lil pick and some slap, turned the volume all the way down, turned gain, drive and every EQ knob to full, engaged the horn and all 3 buttons (bright, contour, vintage), then slowly added enough volume to make it as loud as it could SAFELY handle (rattling every loose item in my entire house and knocking pix off the walls...haha).

***CAUTION: Do NOT leave your speakers unattended, monitor very very closely and use some common sense...the intent it to safely wear in your speakers, not to blow them!***

The next night I ran the looper again and adjusted everything to find the tone I like (only took me about 20 min) and vwala...it was like majic. What a difference it made!

I just can't believe how good this lil damn beast of a combo sounds by itself let alone with an ext cab. I'm still reluctant to say it, but I am a "combo convert" now. Thanks Fender!

The time and effort was, without a doubt, 100% worth it. It is something I will always recommend to everyone now. I will probably do it all over again one more time for good measure.

Keep thump'n. Peace, Rizillin \m/

Awesome! Thanks for the info!

Yes. Very close. However, if your media source is a phone, odds are it's not powerful enough to damage

You're welcome. And as already stated in here, be careful, don't leave your gear unattended and keep and eye and ear on things.

A V1 Rumble! Just 9 to 13 years old. I dunno if that model has the sonic-animated red light in the bottom port. Did you play it, see how it sounds, see if the port lights red?

That module option is really cool!
