Fender Rumble Club

Ready for my number, please! A pair of brand-spankin' new 115s came today. Fortunately/unfortunately, I found a buyer for my old amp, which means I don't actually have a head to play these with yet! At least they make nice eye candy while I wait for a new head to arrive.

That’s Beautiful

I’ll be putting it through it’s paced the next few days as I have plenty of free time. Shall report back my findings, but initial impressions just from an hour or so of demoing in the shop = grin muscle work-out!

The 25 has a little bit less low end grunt than the 40 (to be expected), but for a practice/small hole amp that won’t wake the neighbours its the nicest sounding Îve had in awhile.

It beat out the Ampeg and Hartke I was going back and forth on. Different beasts all of them, but I really like the emulators on the pre-sets. Opens up a world of possibilities for sure.

I’ll record a standard bass line at various pre-sets with all other variables identical and post them here in a few days for anyone interested.

I've been getting ready to order the Studio 40 but my needs and funding might be better served by the lt25. I appreciate your impressions. Sounds like the 25 will work fine for my at home playing at about half the price of the 40. Do you find the presets easy to adjust with the little screen? Have you tried a regular six string or acoustic/electric through this amp? I will probably be using it for those instruments (along with my bass) as a change from my other small amps (Mustang 1, Vox DA1 and Epi Valve Jr.) and thinking it might sound good with some eq adjustments.

Fender Rumble 800 HD head, MXR M108S 10 band graphic EQ & TC Spectracomp are on the way. I intend to recreate my Ampeg SVT 4 Pro in a class D image, we shall see.

Yes, presets are easy to access, easy to deep dive into, easy to adjust or build your own and easy to save your own personal profiles for individual preferences/environments/room sizes/instruments.

Lots of scope for creating your own bespoke experience.

I’m only playing my 4 string P bass through it, so will defer on explicitly commenting on how a six would sound through it.

I liked the fact that the 25 doesn’t fuss with bluetooth etc like the 40 studio does, it just seemed extra finicky to me from my brief time with it.

You do have the scope to plug a phone or laptop into the amp for play along etc.

Thanks, I was thinking that the 40 might have more options than I need, wifi, bluetooth and such. Also, in my current playing environment I would rarely be able to utilize the higher spl volume output over the smaller lt25. I will be using the headphone and aux inputs. (I use these quite a lot on my other amps). I think the lt25 will be on its way to my house shortly (a bit of tax money in a couple of weeks).

Just got in from a St. Patty's Day Dinner/Dance at an Elks Club. Coulda used the R40(had it with)but chose to play through the 200c. Even w/o the "vintage" button in(it usually is), the thing sounded fantastic. The combination of my 67 NR TBird and that amp is delicious.
Did you use it by itself or through a PA system?

:laugh::laugh: We never go through the PA(ours). No place we play has a PA other than for announcements with 6" speakers in the ceiling. We are currently using 2 daisy chained Bose L1's and their 4 ch. ToneMatch mixer. For the kind of gigs and crowds we play for they are plenty. In this area there aren't any backlines or house PA's provided.<EDIT> BTW, No disrespect intended. We'd prolly faint at walking into a place that had any kind of equipment provided. Hell's Bells and cockleshells, we're lucky to have enuff room for the 4 of us. Some places space is so tight we hafta go in as 3.:banghead:

I'm assuming the 200c keeps up! I bet you sound great even squished! I really enjoy my 200c with an added 115. I hope you can try that out someday.

I've got a Rumble 500 combo, and I'm thinking of carrying a small back-up amp to gigs in case the Rumble amp fails.
Will it work if you plug the speaker output of another amp (assuming power/impedance suitability) into the 'extension speaker' socket on the Rumble to utilise the Rumble speaker? I can't get my head around the logic of the signal path, so any advice would be welcomed.
