Ladies and gentlemen!
... - I mean, my Rumble 500 combo has been just awesome for the past 4 years - but, now I'm a believer that . . . .Mo' Rumbles Is Mo' Betta!'Cause I can always enslave the R500c to the Studio to get the different tones I want for any size gig. Heck, I can even enslave my Bassman 500 w/115 neo cab with the other channel for STEREO bass goodness with 740 watts behind it!
Oh I prefer the punch....that is what is so great about a 10" speaker. And G....I was just stating you can get a Bluetooth unit and hook it up to the 40 that's all.For $350 USD the Studio 40 is a bit of a no-brainer.
However, it does have the same no-name 10" driver as the "regular" 40, so it could probably do with an upgrade.
I'm afraid of upgrading mine, because I like how punchy it is, & I'd hate to lose that for more bottom-end, which I think is what other bass players love in an upgrade.
Then it might not also work with guitar, which wouldn't ruin my life, but it would stymie the option of playing guitar through it also.
I've got the VOX for that, but the Studio has the pitch-shifter, which is handy.

Awesome!!Just got in from a 7-10 restaurant/ lounge gig 2 miles from my house. 5 minute commute.used my JBL EON one PA and the R40 for bass. Easy gig-play what we wanna, nice place and good crowd. Once a month easy money.

Yes go see a doctor that’s how it starts take supplements like glucosamine! Don’t overstretch when fingering your bass.Woke up yesterday, sharp pain in my wrist whenever I extend my thumb full forwards. Or whenever I turn my wrist. I have been playing at least 50 hours of guitar/bass a month but I have learned correct posture and technique and I usually stretch before. Does anyone have any idea what this is? Should I go to the doctor? Might go up tmr if it’s not any better.
You don't owe me an apology at all. Like I say I've been away and not really a participant so no issue at all. Thanks for the kind words all,it's nice to have a place to be. So it's I who most likely owe you guys the apology. I go in and out, I have not been very good about keeping in touch and when I do get in touch I feel kind of lost. Anyway BOOHOO I know. I have to pull out of this debilitating down I've been.in. Sorry for being so whiny, carry on.I believe I owe @J-Bassomatic an apology for my tactless responses to his questions.
I do hereby publicly apologize, most sincerely and humbly. I promise to try to be less abrupt and more welcoming, to yourself and others, in the future. I was wrong. I will try to do better.
Please accept this genuine apology, and do not deprive this good group of your presence, comments, questions and opinions.
Please.

Finally a pic from a show this weekend. 500c on top of the 2x10 cab. It has been sounding great. I have used it on 5 or 6 gigs now and it has filled every room. I must admit that I don't always plug in the cab, it is an expensive amp stand sometimes. Also pictured is my main work bass ~ Fender Blacktop Jazz, 2012.I'm sure everyone here is anxious to hear your take on it.
Thing is you could have gotten just the R40 and purchased a seperate Bluetooth unit for it.
I'm dying to hear your take on the Studio 40, did you take it to church today?
But I don't want to bore those who are totally happy with their non-modeling Rumbles. I tried to be content with my R500c and li'l Vox, and B-DEC too. But, for me, this brings it all together, with so much more. Not trying to beat this horse, but the BT connection to the Studio 40 also allows you to manipulate the amp controls from a Fender downloadable app for iPhone or Android:
