Make that, "the 500 can put out up to 350 at 8 Ohms". A reasonable watch on the Master Volume can keep the 115 safely within it's rated power handling and avoid any danger. And, if more power is needed, a second 115 puts just up to 250 watts into each 300 watt speaker.

I usually prefer to stay on the very conservative side of equipment ratings. But I've come around to the idea that, IME, Fender is conservative enough in their ratings that I don't have to use my usual "belt & suspenders" approach. See my recommendation for Rumble 800 speaker(s), for example.

AFA the 'looking good', maybe it woulda camouflaged my 'tire'. I prolly shoulda tried D'Addario tapes on it but I knew it wasn't working out for me so I let it go b4 putting extra* $ in it.

Fortunately for me I lost many lbs and it is okay for me standing. But it is thick and sharp edged. I prefer sitting with it but the BL prefers me standing and at least trying to look engaged (I am, but I am an engineer, what does smile mean? ). But the E comes through very well on mine with the Rumble 200c

The Rumble 115, like other ported cabinets I guess, needs some minimum power input to get the air pumping and the ports working right. Is that right? It seems to be about 10W minimum. 3 Watts? Just guessing. ... ...

Hi, there, Letty! Welcome to The Rumble Club. I suppose those are reasonable guesses. Fender doesn't publish their speaker specs, so guesses and estimates is about all we can do. Unless you're willing to share some test data?

... ... Since I can't get too loud I have my 115 sitting in a big soft chair facing into the chair. 40Hz cuts right through the chair nicely, while the rest is suitably muffled.

I guess headphones are too uncomfortable for quiet practice? Or, perhaps you'd prefer more acoustic dampening fill for your taste? The Modifications section of the Rumble Wiki page, linked in my signature, has a fill project and it is often included in the speaker upgrade projects there, too.

Do you have the Rumble 15" combo, the 200, or the 115 cab and head? If head, which one? A photo would get you a membership in The Club, plus we love to see 'em.

Got a smokin deal on a floor model 210 v3 cab - $266 out the door! So far the cab has impressed me.....enough that I took Sweetwater up on some cheap financing and ordered a matching cab and 2 slip covers. I’ll be powering them with a Quilter BB800 for now.

Welcome Rumbler #1066! Those Rumble cabs are going to make your Quilter BB800 sound really good. Rumble on.

Welcome to The Club, 3rdy! That is, indeed, an impressive stack.

Just a brief word of caution, though. As JakobT warned, above, of the dangerous possibility of putting 350 watts into a 300 watt speaker, please be aware that your Quilter BB800 could possibly put 450 watts into just one of your 350 watt rated 210 cabs.

I know. I know. I've said that I believe the 350 watt rated Fender 210s can take 400 watts, as in the Rumble Stage 800. But I also believe it's possible that the Quilter's 450 watts at 8 ohms could be just a bit too much.

So, just be careful there, ya hear?

There are IMO two main reasons to pick the 200c - 1. Portability and weight, and 2. That you don’t require that much power. Mind you, with a 115 extension cab, the 200c is no slouch.

I agree that the 500 head with 115 cab is a more powerful and flexible solution, but also heavier. Also remember that the Rumble 115 is rated for 300W continuous while the 500 puts out 350 at 8 Ohms.

Good points but the combo is only 5lbs lighter than the cab. I also don't like the way the cab is wider than the combo, they look odd stacked, maybe thats too OCD haha. I much prefer the look of the head sitting on top of the two cabs. Not to mention its much easier to access the controls on the head than the combo with the controls on top. So it looks better, more than double the power and its easier to use. All pros in my book. Plus, Im not tied to a 1x15 if I decide I want to switch it up later and go with a couple 2x10s or 4x10s etc..Only con is that it would be about $100 more expensive for the head and two 15 cabs.

Folks, I am an old man, my car is too small, and for unknown reason we often play in clubs in basements.

I own a Markbass 121P and a Traveler 121H, 500W output together, 12 kg plus 16kg = 28 kg.

The Fender Rumble 500 weighs 17kg, the Rumble Stage 800 weighs 18kg, they are smaller than my combo and amp, and prices are quite attractive.

Is that an alternative? We play Grunge (Pearl Jam style), Post-Grunge and Sludge (à la Melvins).

Mister Mo, I hope you know that both the Rumble 500 combo and Stage 800 require an additional extension cab to reach their nameplate wattage. Therefore you would still have a combo and a cab totaling 26kg to 27kg, to get 500 to 800 watts. That's not much of a weight savings.

Yeah, saw that... dammit. That weight loss would cost me quite a bunch of money because the Markbass gear does not sell at that price. I guess only females would consider spending so much money to lose 2 kg of weight.

Just wondering about the gain on the Rumble (specifically the 500 model) , have only ever had the gain on halfway or below, is there anything to gain by turning the gain up more? also if you turned up the gain to full, could this cause any damage to the amp assuming your overall volume was not overly high? thanks

Beautiful bass. I'll bet it sounds fantastic through the Rumble. Fender used to have a color like that called Sienna Sunburst, which was always one of my favorites. What kind of bass is that?

Welcome Rumbler #1083! Bass Nothwest had that same bass except with a maple board. I think that is about as pretty as a bass can get. Should you tire of it, hit me up. Oh, nice Rumble, too. Rumble on!

Does the Fender Rumble 800 HEAD have the ability to sync up with the app and get all of those on board effects? It seems it would.. but can't find any concrete information... I hope it is not just the combo that has the effects.
