I have a Markbass Compressore in front of my 200c. I like it because it's actually using the tube to do the compression, not just as a preamp.

Check out this link. There is a lot of good info there. You will also find in there the Fender Rumble Tone Pool. It is a spreadsheet club members have entered settings they use to get specific. sounds. So, I'm going be buying a Rumble Studio 40 in the very near future. I got to play with one in guitar center and ended up losing an hour and a half scrolling through and tweaking the presets.
I know fender has an app, but I haven't been able to find much on google in the way preset info aside from the manual. Do you guys have any experience/tips for getting the most out of preset creation? While I'm at it, how would you emulate an Acoustic 360/361?
Congrats! You made a fine choice indeed. No better way to celebrate another fantastic Fender Friday in my opinion.View attachment 3438778
Lookey what came in today. My new Rumble 500. Wife was working from home today....text today "Honey, you have ANOTHER big box from Fender".
I've been using my Fender Rumble 40 for some gigs (as a stage monitor) but as you can imagine it's not really cutting it. With a large theatre gig coming up I thought it was time to get serious!

Are you planning to use the Studio 40 to get your tones and send to the effects return jack on the 500? Sound like a good idea to me.View attachment 3438778

So, the near future is like this afternoon?
You don't need to repair the car. The 500c only weighs 38 lbs. You can walk home with it. Let's keep our priorities in order.Unfortunately, the near future will be either next week or the week after. I have a saran-wrap tight budget and a car to fix in the meantime. I checked out the tone pool a little while ago and it seems pretty useful.
I'm not to familiar with the Studio 40, so I can't be specific. You will want to find an Effects Send or some other output with a line signal. Run a cable from there to the Effects Return jack of the 500. You will by bypassing the preamp section of the 500 so all your EQ will be on the 40.Gravedigger: I hadn't considered that. Need to wrap my head around how to do that? I do use a Sansamp Tech 21 as well for tone...wonder how that would fit in?

I think the Studio 40 is even lighter....
As a friend of mine used to say, "Desperate Times call for Desperate Measurements!"
So, if I do that, everything going through the Rumble 500 is controlled by the Rumble 40?Are you planning to use the Studio 40 to get your tones and send to the effects return jack on the 500? Sound like a good idea to me.

Not quite the same but I have used the headphone out of my little Rumble LT25 into the aux in of a larger bass amp (unfortunately not Rumble) and it sounded pretty good especially with the LT25's subset of the Studio 40's effects...So, Studdy, does this make your 3rd Rumble 500 combo? Plus the Rumble 40!?!
.
Whoa! Did I miss him getting a Rumble Studio 40, too? I thought he had the plain 40?
.
Yeah, that's right. Like you did with your first 2 Rumble 500 combos. But, why do that? The addition of the 40 to the 500 would be negligible.
But, if you do have a Rumble Studio 40, then, YEAH!, run the Studio's left channel (mono) Effects Send to the Effects Return of the R500c to get all the great sounds and effects thru the 500.
