Yeah that's what I'm thinking. With the 500c I could (potentially) be set for life.

I tried both the 200c and 500c in the store and just liked the sound of the 200c better (for me). I run it with a 115 extension cab and it is great for rehearsals or small gigs. However, if you liked the 500c better then you are in luck because it does make much more financial sense. More than twice the power for only a $100 more. And with 500 watts (with extension cab) you should be set for just about anything you will ever encounter.Whoa, there, that's too much for me. Wow! Great memory! Yes - I've got an old Silvertone Smart III here at the house. It says it's 26 watts, but I'm not sure I believe that. It's not a Bass amp though, and it's pretty old... Might be fun to blow up, but then I'd be right back where I started.
The basses have been "out of sight" for a few months... except for the Squier VM Jazz - it's on the living room rack now. I've been working on my mad guitar skills (as in I'm mad I don't have any). Bought my first tube amp a few weeks back - a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe George Benson Edition. Gotta say, it's pretty sweet! Had to send the first one I received back as the reverb tank was busted. The second one works great - even if the reverb isn't quite as good as I hoped it would be.

Yeah, they are quite lovely and a couple of good clips on YouTube.
A couple of people on OzBass have them.
Really gorgeous looking basses those Cole Clarks..saw them on The Bass Centre website awhile ago..if I bought another bass I'd be facing divorce court loll I thought that CC Guitars only made quality acoustic stuff till I saw those CC basses..beautiful looking too..they would fill the gap that Maton basses has left..any of you Melbournians let me know if you check one out at Bass Centre...at least I can dream loll
Loll howdy Sydneysider...not many croweaters on this forum other than 1 other guy from memory..yeah I am over there on the Ozbass forum as well but havent signed in for ages..lots of reasons..nbn install issues, holidays...actually away at the mo. I own a beautiful Maton JB4Pro as well..thought they gave it a second try a few years ago reviving them but had issues sourcing the qld sassafras from memory.
Best pic I have of mine..darn son has it and I need him either to return the darn thing or give me some new pics. Great bass guitar that JB4Pro.

I am a Melburnian. Proximity to such a great shop is a blessing and a curse. If I spent any more time in the Bass Centre they would have to give me a sleeping bag and a tooth brush. I will try out a CC and report back soon... (there goes my next paycheck).
Now now Jughead6 dont let me be the reason for your downfall..have fun though lol
EDIT: had to google why you spelt it Melburnian..live and learn something new everyday as I always thought it was Melbournian loll apologies there Jughead6..seems it goes back a long way too.

Those JB4s call me a bit, though there seem to be mostly Fretless ones - like yours? Fretless scares me a bit, not that I have any cash for one anyway.
The MGB is cool also - looks like the JB4 but active. So a bit closer to the CC LLB.
