Fender Rumble Club

This is good, but I’m just thinking I would prefer the sound of 1x15 or 2x10, but I’m still yet to try some out.

So 2x r100 combos... that makes it 2 12 speakers, and 200 watts?
I’m interested in hearing how this would sound, but I doubt any stores would be able to connect two of them together for me.
And how would I connect them together... is it that little trick through the effects send/return? The little trick that I saw once browsing through the rumble club wiki that I don’t really remember?

And which one is in control of the volume and eq - the send amp, return amp, or both? Thanks

I would much rather carry around 1 amp instead of 2, which is the biggest turnoff
Since you already have a 100, I suggested getting a second, which you could stack, or put one on the other side of the bandstand or ?. All control is from amp A since the "effects return" on amp B bypasses the preamp section on B. If they were split, you'd have the same exact sound coming from each side. If stacked, since the upper one's panel would be controlling the sound, the lower 100 would simply add its(up to)100w and any coupling effect that might be achieved. And all you'd need is one 3'(1m?)cord from A to B. Added benefit would be amp A is up closer to yer ears. This is a great help since neither one's knees nor arse hears all that well. Oh. Also, because R100's are light, one in each hand=1 balanced trip. And if ya get to the gig and only need one, the other stays in the (vehicle of choice).

Thanks guys! I guess my questions revolve around headroom and volume. More for my curiosity, and the scrolls of history. (Ok, and I still kinda wanna try it ;) )

On paper, 200h + 12 + 12 = 100c + 100c
I get the 200h has more "headroom." But at say, 50% power, are they the same volume? At what point does the 200h out perform the 2 100w power amps of the combos?

Not a direct comparison, but:
200c vs. 100c + 40c...
They both have 140w. The 100+40 has slightly more speaker surface. The tone will be obviously different. Could the 100+40 be louder than the 200? Or would the headroom of the 200 outweigh the speaker surface difference?

These are the things that keep me up at night. o_O
I'd ask wheres Linnin, but he'd probably just say "mo rumbles, mo betta." :roflmao:;)
On paper, at least, the 100/40 would outperform the 200 on its own. In the real world, I doubt if you’d experience much difference in volume. The tone would be different, though.

Thanks for the feedback! Logic tells me to just get a bigger amp. But I think the 2x12 rig would be pretty killer, and I do have one 100c already.....

A R500c (up on a stand) with an HPF will cover pretty much any gig.
Ok Stumbo you win! ;)

Happy Fender Friday to all and Happy early Birthday to me!
Well, I couldn’t wait so this guy is now mine:

V2 Fender Rumble 30
-30 watts
-10” speaker
-29.4 lbs on my bathroom scale
-that Fender Rumble tone we all love
-tiltback feature
-and i don’t foresee any volume issues with the output this guy has!
This will be my “small stage, low volume” rig:

My new R30 as my monitor, my M81 for a top notch DI into the mixer for PA support and my trusty P5.
This makes my fourth Rumble piece:
2 V3 115 cabs
1 V2 350 head and this
1 V2 Rumble 30
Now I’ll just need a V3 Rumble 200 head and that’ll do me!
I hope y’all’s day is as good as mine!

Mine hears everything my wife asks me and it even answers her too!

I got tangled in my cord last night and the input jack got yanked.
I thought my night was over but I managed to tighten it and finish the job. I love the Rumble, but I’m not going to lie, I wish it were a bit more sturdy.
After hearing a coupla similar stories, I decided to try something a bit different. A 90 degree adapter, plugged into the input jack aimed toward the center of the handle. My cord goes through the handle to the adapter. If the cord got yanked it'll just pull outta the adapter. Annoying but not damaging.[my usual HD pic]

How do you like this? Is the tone much different than the v3? I'm interested in one but cant seem to find one to test out. Thanks!

Hey, Alan!
I see you are on The Quest. I get it!

Truthfully I love it. I’d say pretty similar-if you like one, you’ll like the other.
I hope to have a better opinion once I get my V3 head but that may be a little while.

I got the V2 because of the wattage. My choices at the time were the V3 200 and 500 and i wanted something in between. The 350h nails it. I’ll use the V3 200 to “tame down” the rig and I don’t think I’ll ever need more volume that the 350 through two 115 cabs.

My impression about V2 vs V3 is that with the V2 Fender hadn’t figured out the weight issue like they did with the V3s. The sound and power are there in the V2s. The other thing-and I’ll admit this is superficial-is the look. The V3s are lighter and look better. The V2s are SOOOO UGLY but they sound SOOO GOOD! Ha ha!

Thanks! I've said before, but the R500c really knocked my socks off. But in another thread, a lot of members suggested I consider head/cab, and try different brands. (I know, I know... :rollno:) So I'm keeping my mind open.
What comes first, the amp or the gig?

I agree, 350w just seems like the perfect size. And with the 500h discontinued, I think they will only become harder to find.

My primary goals are tone and reliability. I know the controls are different, but I could adapt to that.
