Fender Rumble Club

Also: am looking at Mud Stands. Large or Standard for this puppy? Skimming search results I saw a vote for the Large? ($79)

EDIT: Already heard back from the company. The sales guy thought the standard would be fine given the light weight of the Rumble. Interested in any other thoughts about this though.

A follow-up to my post about the 500 head cutting out when I turned on the overdrive...
Well, as G-Dog suggested, I had both overdrive knobs all the way down.
The amp is fine.
The repair guy is disappointed.
I'm an idiot. (But I did save money, thanks to G-Dog!)
So send @G-Dog the money. :smug:

Buy the repair guy a bottle of wine or a six-pack as thanks.

The weight shouldn't be a problem at all as those things are rated for 200-300 pounds I think.
It was more the dimensions of the stand vs the dimensions of the amp that I looked at.
Here’s a 115 cab on the large Mud Stand.

The 200 and 500 combos would be less wide but taller.
Here’s a shot with a 200 combo in the side.

On an unrelated note:
if we have ads in the classifieds, are we allowed to attach them in our signature?
I thought I had seen that done, but I didn't want to break any TOSs.

If it’s allowed, how do you rename the hyperlink?

Welcome Rumbler #1102! I see a bass lurking in the back there. Plug it into that 200 and Rumble On!

Thank you, thank you! That bass lurking next to the amp is my membership in the Jaguar Short-Scale club, heh. The bass that will get most of the playing through it is a Mustang. Have an old Fender Jazz (the avatar), a U-Bass and the Taylor Mini too. I don't have a problem, I can stop any time!!!

So basically the dimensions of the large Mud Stand are ideal, but the Mini works, so seems like I could order any one of the three.

@Aaron Houts , the dinosaurs are a nice touch!

Oh, I played the 200 in a fun, loud, sloppy jam party the other night. Plenty loud. We'll see how it does with our actual drummer and his actual drums (we rehearse with an electronic kit) but I'm having a hard time picturing a scenario where it wouldn't be loud enough for our purposes. And I'm liking the sound. I pretty much put everything (excluding volume and gain) at noon to get an idea of its natural state as it were, and it's really nice!

Good to hear!

When I did the 500 to 200 head-to-head, it was at a store 2hrs from home. My local store only has a 200. I've been stopping in to test basses once a week or so, I use the 200 every time, and I think I'm falling in love! :woot:

Yeah, I mean, I've played the 500 a LOT and I know I don't know how to get the best sound out of it and that it's capable of doing all kinds of things...but the 200 just worked for me right away. I'm super happy with it!

Folks,
I just posted a bug report and warning that affects the iOS Tone App and presets using the Rumble V3 amp model.

Please refer to the original message here in the new "Fender Rumble LT25, Studio 40 & Stage 800" thread.

Kind regards,
Droopy

All you Stage & Studio owners using the Fender Tone App on Apple iOS phones or devices, this bug affects your presets based on the Rumble V3 amp.

Many thanks to @Droopy_TX for creating the Stage & Studio Preset Template spreadsheet. We can use this to record the details of our favorite presets in case of the need for manual re-entry. It's great non-volatile backup! Independent of internet, cloud, or even magnetic fields (if you make a printout).

Just looking thru the PDF list gives a very informative overview of how extensive the presets are and what goes into them. Droopy also noticed how similar affects on different presets use different terminology, which I assumed was done to stay true to the different hardware brands' labeling. It's really a very impressive system!

I propose, here to the Rumble Club in general, that we Stage & Studio owners try to give the non-modeling Rumblers here a bit of a break by channeling such techno discussions to the new Fender Rumble LT25, Studio 40 & Stage 800 thread all we can. NOT to jump on anyone posting a Stage or Studio preset question here, but to respectfully point them to the new thread, or Rumble Wiki, or both. If you please?

Thanks!
.

Guys something strange happens to me today, i was playing on my 500 combo and suddenly the speakers sounded like they were broken. i was affraid of making more damage to it so i turn off the amp. 20 min later i turn it on again and try, sounds pretty normal, no broken sound so i dont know what to do right now. any advice?
Sounds irregular Richie, do you have any pedals in front of it or attached to it (via the footswitch or effect loop)? Also, have you checked the battery on your bass (that is, is it an active bass and if so have you checked the battery)?

Yes - battery if active bass. If it happens again and you've eliminated battery theory, check your cable(s) could be an intermittent short. I've had both happen before - quick and easy fixes!
