Fender Rumble Club

View attachment 3502853
Within the last month I’ve gotten a Rumble 4x10 and a 1x15. I then bought a Fender Bassman to power them, and wow!!!
It is one of my favorite stacks to play!

Wow, three awesome stacks to choose from! I imagine the hardest part is choosing—unless you just daisy chain them all together...!

I give a ratz @$$, er, no I don't :D

here is my proof

The R100 vs. the R500 ... the question is... do you find the sound that much different at a moderate volume level (well within the headroom of the R100)?

Yes I do. The 12 loves to burp a lot. Played well within its headroom is little different then playing an Acoustic.... Will probably sell it soon after my 300W RMS 1-15 Studio 15 arrives. I do enjoy the Overdrive as it provides great feedback and sustain, so it may work well for my guitar style and feedback bass.... And also for a drum machine. Just does little for me otherwise. Then again, I once had the 500 combo with the 15 ext. Cab. Worlds apart.

Be aware that the R100c usually has no acoustic fill in the cab, compared to the R500c having a good acoustic fill! The Modifications Section of the Rumble Wiki has a couple of acoustic fill examples, but be careful not to overfill. Just lining on side, top and back is plenty. The iagtrplyr Mod is an example of having to remove excess fill from an R100c. This makes a very significant difference to those who have tried it.

I recently picked up a Rumble 800 head so I can leave my 1x15 cabinet in our rehearsal space (I also have the 500 combo) and played with it tonight for the first time. Man, I'm in love. I have no hate towards my 500 combo, but the sound of that 15 is just a fuller rounder sound on lower notes. It wasn't muddy and cut through the mix fine. I can't imagine how good a second 1x15 cabinet would sound. I love my Rumbles.

Rock on!

The new 115 is here! With the 500 head it sounds a lot like the 200 combo which is what I was hoping.

Yep, this. You need to look at the low end roll off for the drivers. Or, just run a sine wave generator through the cabinet starting at 80hz and working your way down (yes I know bass strings are not sine wave generators). The 2x10s drop off sharply below 70hz.

When I asked Eminence what a replacement driver for the 2x10s would be, the speaker they quoted was good to about 70hz and dropped like a rock from there.

I have an 800 head with a 1x15 cabinet and a 500c. The 1x15 with same EQ offers more bass.

Much more low end than the 12"... Much!!!!! BOOM. I have the R100 and really don't care for it after playing the R500 with a 15" Ext Cab.

Man, with all the love for 15s, maybe it won't be too bad if I don't end up trading them for 112s after all...
It's a win/win either way.

You can't go wrong with doing what your ears tell you to do ;)!
Too true!
It’s more of a space issue than anything. I’ll continue my hunt for that pair of 112s.
Our house isn’t huge and my amps are multiplying.
The original plan was one combo. Now I have two combos and a full stack...and there’s talk of another bass. Plus my wife’s acoustic guitar and amp.
What’s that about “good intentions?”

And the correct answer is..."paving roads"...
