Fender Rumble Club

Just wanted to check in. I'm a newer amateur player who just picked up a Rumble 100. Loving the tone, and the versatility with the EQ and voicing options, and of course, the weight!

Ignore those other black boxes...

Very cool practice room! @TommyGunz, you are now member #1124 in the Fender Rumble Club. Good to have you at TalkBass and in The Club. Please feel free to ask, answer, discuss and participate to the fullest. You may find the answer to many questions on the Rumble Wiki Page linked in my signature. If not, just ask here.

I’ll be picking up a Rumble 410 cab to use with my 800c ... Combo grill cloth is black, 410 cab cloth is silver — I guess they should match? What’s the best (read: easiest) way to achieve a match? Thanks.

Easiest = send the silver one back and buy:

Cheapest (perhaps) = Goggle Fender Black Grille Cloth, Staple Gun, Fender Black Logo.

... ... I was hoping to find separate grills sold separately. ... ...

Yeah, I've yet to hear of a national source for custom amplifier grilles. The new look of the Stage and Studio amps has certainly created the need! Looks like a local cabinet maker, if you can find one to take such a small project, may be the only hope. Good luck, and keep us informed of your quest.

Love those 2x10 Ampeg cabinets as they are very light (< 25lbs) and look easy to load. How does it sound? I've never heard one.

Your very welcome. I should have said that G-Dog would be around to give you an official response, but let me say welcome to TB and the Fender Rumble Club :thumbsup:!

Hey, I claim no officiality to my posts, except when issuing new Club membership numbers. Otherwise, I'm just a normal guy, trying to make my way, like everybody else. I feel we all have something to contribute! By all means, go for it.

... ... G-dog. Ordered me a flat angled 3' TRS cable so I can stack the S40 on top of the R100. Fun.

Cool beans, LoveJack! By flat angled I guess you mean a 90 degree plug, for the Left (mono) FX Send of the S40? But, why the TRS (stereo), when a TS is sufficient? Also, there should be plenty of room for two straight ¼" plugs. Don't mean to rain on your parade. It'll probably still work, but just hope you didn't pay extra for it. Please let us know how it works for you!

Hey, I don't know.. lolol. It's flat and angled. Lolol $12.00. Appreciate you.

1st Set done. Dance floor packed. All Fender rig cut through the mix great. Lovin it. The extra 210 ext cab really balanced it out and gave it just that extra punch that I needed. May be leaving the SVT at home for a while.

Please give us a report on which settings you used, what style of music, etc. Looks awesome and I know it sounds good, as I rock the same rig. That quilted maple top on that Jazz Deluxe is gorgeous! I always wanted one of those.

Hello fellow Rumblers!

Anybody remove the little black tabs on the bottom front of the Rumble cabs? If so, how did you do it? Is there anything to know about it?

Is the tab the only way to take off the grill or can it be taken off easily another way?

Thanks!

So I took care of this by scotch taping the black tabs underneath the amp. That way, if I ever need to remove the grill, I will be able to do so.

Thanks for everyone's suggestions!
