Fender Rumble Club

Aaaaaahhhh!
Just met @GonePlaid for an in person Rumble Club Confab and we forgot the obligatory pic!
I had a cheeseburger if that helps.

Pics or it didn't happen!

One chance encounter with the mythical Sasquatch, with only blurry photos, is merely doubtful. But two encounters, without additional photos, is unbelievable! ;)

Well...I’m not even sure how reliable pics are these days.
I know this one guy on this online forum about these Rumble amps. This guy can make all KINDS of things look real. I’ll bet for the right price, he could photoshop me into a pic with the great @GonePlaid .
He’s tricked me on more than one occasion!
Just sayin’.

A bit different than most Rumble posts, but last weekend, my son and daughter-in-law got married in our back yard. What else to use for the P.A. than my trusty Rumble 200?!
It was a day of pure joy!

I'm sure that I have no idea to what you could possibly be referring!

BTW, Sasquatch is smiling.

Hello fellow Rumblers!

Anybody remove the little black tabs on the bottom front of the Rumble cabs? If so, how did you do it? Is there anything to know about it?

Is the tab the only way to take off the grill or can it be taken off easily another way?

Thanks!

Otherwise you probably have to insert a flat bladed screwdriver or similar to pry it off. Relax, it's annoying to us, but no one else notices or cares.

I understand his take on Genzler. There’s a Heart tribute band I saw recently whose bassist is a Genzler endorsee. He sounded amazing at that gig.

MarkBass, on the other hand, has never impressed me when I’ve heard it, either in my hands or another player’s hands. But that’s just me.
My thought exactly, but you said kinder and gentler than I would.

Just turned off the horns on my 500 combo and 210...wow, what a difference! Sounds so much better...

How many of you usually use your Rumble(s) without the horn(s)?

John
One of my rigs is a Rumble 500 head through a defective Rumble 500 combo that I converted into a cab. The horn was never connected after the conversion an I think it sounds great!... (so much so that I sold my Eden 210XLT)

I’d like to get another Rumble 210 cab for the full stack, and then I could compare tones with and without the horn.

Oh I agree. I’m sure no one else notices or cares.

But I’m surprised that it seems that no Rumblers in this thread have taken off the tabs...
The tab saves a lot of trouble and possibly damage to your cab if you ever have to take the grille off, and you might well need to, for the occasional tightening of screws etc.

If you don’t like the look, you can remove it or bend it back upon itself, but be warned: The grille fits surprisingly well, and the velcro holds it very securely in place, so it’s quite difficult to get it off without the tab. A better solution would be to shorten it a little so it’s less prominent.
