Fender Rumble Club

For what it's worth, there's a V3 Power Amp Update Rumble Talk linked on the Rumble Club Wiki page (linked in my signature) that lists the type of amps. But, don't ask me about the technical differences. Technicians have often "blinded me with Science".

More importantly, ask the owners here who gig them, some of whom have both. I have, and regularly gig, a Rumble Studio 40 and can vouch that it is quite easily much more than just a home practice amp, especially with it's XLR Out. The 100 also gets a lot of play, literally, depending on how hard the drummer hits. Some find that adding a bit of, but not too much, acoustic fill into the 100 cab transforms it's tone in a pleasant way.

Most importantly, try them for yourself and form your own opinion. GC and many others usually stock them.

Anyone else wanna chime in on this?
.
I felt the fill in my R40 helped. I don't think the R100 is gonna need any-for me, anyway.

So I’ve actually been running my R100 with both the vintage AND bright buttons engaged together :D
Treble at 9, bass at 12, low mid about 2, high mid about 1
Also I use a pick, so that changes the tone a bit too, but I’m loving it.
I usually use(d) the vintage on the 200c, sometimes the bright with it for 'boomy' rooms. Still getting used to the 100, but vintage mostly on.

I'd like a number, please! On the advice of a number of folk in the Thunderbird Club, I got one of these (a 100v3). Puts a smile on my face every time.

Hello, Miley! Was, perhaps, @GonePlaid one of the T-Bird Clubbers who recommended the Rumble 100? While new to the 100 himself, he is a loo-ong time Rumbler. @Miles_ONeal you are now member #1158 in the Fender Rumble Club. Congratulations, and make yourself at home here and on the Rumble Club Wiki page linked in my signature.

And please tell us more of your Rumble journey. Then, as always, do continue to . . . .

Rumble On!

I find it interesting to see what settings you all use on your Rumbles. I have the 500 combo and with my Country covers band I use a Precision with flats and have the gain at 12 for a little bite, all the voice buttons engaged (or "in"), I set the treble mids and bass at 12 and set the volume to taste for the room. The only thing I don't use is the Flux Capacitor, as history has proved, these are prone to breaking down.

And they always break down in the worst possible century and in a time where there will be no power invented yet loll
I run my 500C with similar tone settings although I only run gain about 9 and master flat out..mostly active basses though..seems a good setting for my basses.

Playing in a polka band with my 500c, I'm usually looking for a thumpy upright tone, think classic country or bluegrass. So with my flatwound Precision, my settings usually stay at: gain-9, vintage and OD-on, drive-11,level-12, treble-12, hi mids-12, low mids-1 bass,-12, master-10. The only changes I make are cutting back the gain if I use my G&L JB-2 or boosting the hi mids if I need to cut the stage mix a bit more. I do use a TC Spectracomp sometimes, but my settings usually stay right where they're at.

I have done many gigs with bass at 9 and vintage on. I just recently played a gig @:
G-12, B-10, LM-12, HM-1, T-12; all buttons off.

And I really liked it! The vintage off had a little more definition, and the extra bass replaced the thickness that vintage usually adds.

My go-to “EQ to the room” tweaks are bass and hi-mids. IME bass level is the difference between boomy and beefy; and hi-mid level is the difference between cutting and harsh.

Cool. My 100 is still really new to me. Much experimentation still ensues. I was trying to leave the vintage off NYE, but it's one of our larger venues and I needed the 'oomph'. I generally start at G-9, Drive @'mute', B-10, LM-~2, HM-~1, Tr-10, V-10 to 1; adjust to room. B sometimes ~8 1/2. I'll hafta try the HM tweaks.

Yeah, I’ve said before my vintage use just depends on the room. That thing can be a real laser beam of juicy goodness! Recently I reached down during a gig to click it on after 2 songs and thought Ahh, there it is! :)

I read a theory (on TB, of course) that the 100 was built to intentionally be boomy and bassy, to make it impressive for in-store demos. Seeing as I have never had the bass knob past 11 for a gig, I kinda buy it. I still kick around the idea of lining/bracing the cab and/or swapping the speaker; but I seem to be able to get there by tweaking knobs and buttons, so I haven’t gone through the trouble.

I did the lining thing on my R40, but for what I/we do, the R100 seems fine as is.
We did a kinda 'off the wall' experiment a coupla weeks ago at the Sunday jam: EFX send outta my R100>EFX return on other bass player's R500 hd>his 15" cab. So my 12" + his 15" and who knows how many potential watts. Sounded great.

A belated Happy New Year to all my fellow Rumblers!!!

I just received my latest Rumble accessory...

A Rumble 210BLK extension cab to unleash the power of a fully armed and operational battle station!!!!

Um, er... I mean all 800W of my Rumble Stage 800. :D

P.S. "Fire at will, commander."
There would be enough air pumped outta those cabs to hopefully blow out the fires in Australia.
