I HAVE A BUZZ/HUM FROM MY FENDER RUMBLE 200!
So I was playing around with different tone settings and noticed that when the Bright switch is engaged and the Tweeter is switched on, I hear a noticeable hum. It goes away when I touch metal of the input jack of my cable or the strings on the neck. When I turn the Tweeter off and turn off the Bright switch it is much less noticeable, but still there. Too low to be an issue. So, I am thinking that the Tweeter and Bright switch just make the hum more noticeable.
I tried different outlets in my house, and the newer outlets in my kitchen which was remodeled led to a much lower hum with those same settings. So, I am guessing it is a grounding issue with the amp???
Would shielding help my Fender P Bass help? I ordered some copper shielding tape, and was planning to shield under the pickguard at first and see if that helps, and if not, the cavities of the bass.
Any thoughts or advice? Anyone else have this problem?
THANKS!!!
Thom
