Fender Rumble Club

So. Did the Monday charity open mic/jam tonight. Amp(s) provided:2 R100's daisy chained, one aimed toward the drummer and guitarist. Heat/humidity too much for the 67 THUNDERBIRD so I chose to play my 95 Les Paul 5er. It was 100F actual-not "feels like"-when I got there(outdoor venue). I was sweating like the star attraction at a hanging.
I get to play a lot o' stuff with this bunch that my regular group doesn't do, so it's like a busman's* holiday for me. Our group does mostly 60's/70's tunes. These guys are all over the eras. Many of the songs I've never played but I've heard 'em enuff that if they give me the key, I can come up with an appropriate bass line, if not the original. Too bad it doesn't pay. Then again, I gots nothing else to do on a Monday night. There sure as hell isn't any sports to watch.

A couple of years ago, I read an article that mentioned that Flagstaff had the most practicing musicians per capita of any city in the U.S. We are, well were, fortunate (pre-COVID-19) to have tons of live music options in a small mountain town. I was talking to the bass player of the Mother Road Trio during a break one night and mentioned the article. His response to "most practicing"? "Be nice to get paid for it!" Perfect!

From our local music scene...

I hope there are lower wattage version of rumble stage 〘 Rumble Club 〙power by 150/200 watts with 12 in driver in this NANM 2020 , and extent matching 12 in cab.

Yah-Yah! Long time, no see! Welcome back to your old stompin' ground. Yeah, man, a Rumble Club 400 (250 watts @ 8ohms, 400 watts at 4 ohms) with at least 112, though many here love the 115, is devoutly wished by many here! Alas, Summer NAMM 2020 has been canceled! We now aim our wishes to the Winter NAMM 2021!!
.
I get that and don't disagree. However, 7ender-and almost everybody else-is trying to make big power in progressively smaller packages. Like you, I have a soft spot for 12's, but it seems most players want multiple 10's or a 15 so I don't foresee anyone, esp. Rumble, coming out with something with 12's. See "Rumble Club Wiki" for the dreamed of 2x12 cab.

The Plaid One is correct, Yah-man. See the Fender Rumble Club 400 & 212 Cab - Wish for Future NAMM section of the Rumble Club Wiki page, linked in my signature, right directly under your own Rumble fantasies shared there.

I want to get an amp stand for my Rumble 500... but then I just think, why not spring for the extension cab? Serves a similar purpose, gets me a fuller sound and looks great... the only loser is my wallet!
Or get another 500C. You will end up with same looking setup with more watts for your $$$. Plus you have a built in redundancy.

Could have had the same wattage with 2x500C and in your pocket

You're right, Bazz, you could get up to 700 watts in a single 410 stack of 2 Rumble 500 combos, but it would "lack" a bit of SPL from the 2x15 stack of the R200c+cab. And, I do believe it's those creamy 15" tonez that so many Rumblers around here like.

Another alternative would be the Rumble 800 HD head with four 115 cabs!! Eh? How a-boot that, eh?
.
Hello guys,

No news about "Tone Master" bass amps incoming?

No, sir, I've heard nothing more about any possible "Tone Master" bass amps since "a particularly astute industry observer" mentioned it for Winter NAMM 2020 back in February. And, unfortunately, Summer NAMM this month was canceled! Maybe next Winter NAMM in 2021? We live in hope!

Productive day Wednesday for my Jazz-Les build. Found a 2” x 20”x30” ‘scrap of mahogany to plane down to be the back 1.1”

Just a quick note to say that I've been getting great results using my Rumble 500 v.3 head when recording tracks to send to people, during the quarantine.
Bass (Fender Jazz Bass, usually, for recording) --> Rumble head --> headphone jack out to Zoom Hn1 digital recorder line in.
"Vintage" engaged, bass knob at 10:00, everything else flat. Gain and master at 9:00, digital recorder input level set on the recorder.
I swear I've gotten almost tube-like tone this way.
Cheap, non-expert equipment, but very nice sounding bass tracks.

Hello guys,

Is there something like DIY cab layouts? In these times of “quarantine” I’m getting the tickle of making myself one. I searched the wiki page but found nothing like it. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks!

If you're talking about building your own Rumble cab, that's not what The Club is about. Rumbles come ready made and ready to rock. In fact, just about any modification voids the manufacturer's warranty. A grey area might be the velcro detachable grille, where some have replaced, or painted, the cloth, or even built a whole new grille.

Have you tried the Greenboy Designs Club, about makers of the fEARful and Fearless cab layouts? I forget just which are for DIY projects.

Whatever one DIY's, it's gonna be heavy.

Oh, I dunno. I once knew someone who was an absolute wizard with Papier-mâché! Unlike most stage sets & props, his really looked real and could well support body weight and "very live" loads, if needed, but were very light for moving between scenes. I don't know how they would hold up with time, though, since he always worked on short to limited-run productions at that time and renovated everything for the next show. Never thought of commissioning any speaker cabs back then.

Greetings,
I just received my stage 800 yesterday, got the tone app, and got the basic menu path down pretty quick and easily, coming from using Vox Tonelab modeling with guitar.

Can someone steer me to info on saving, moving, and organizing edited program patches?
So far I have avoided hitting the save button in fear that it just will immediately store the edited settings right on the same program number, whereas I want to write and store it way up on a new unused number to not overwrite any existing provided programs just yet.
