I also have roundwound strings on my MIA P Bass. I use the Vintage button on my 500c and keep the EQ settings at 12 o'clock except the low mid, that's rolled back to 10 o'clock. Rounds on a P Bass rock!

Count me among the silver grille preference! As cool looking and stealthy as the black grilled Stage and Studio are, and I do love my Studio, the retro sparkly silver grille of my R500c still rings my bell. Maybe part of it is that classic Fender look that I could only drool at from afar and never afford back in the late '60s. And maybe another part of it is also the sparkly silver grilles of my '60s Silvertone amps back then reminding me of the good times, and (mostly) good music we made back then. I know that my sparkly silver grilled R500c has always been easier to find on a mostly dark stage than my older stealthy black metal grilled Bassman combos!
And there are others here who prefer the silver grille on their Stages and Studios:

Hats off to all who like their stuff to look different, but I find that customizations aren’t really my cup of tea, I like all my gear to look as close to stock as possible, for some reason. So no custom paint jobs, grille cloths, stickers or anything else for me.

It’s true that the plastic logos are a little cheap-looking, but I’ve never had one break off yet. All my amps have good, solid covers and are well protected. If I ever do, I might replace it with the metal ones, but like you I don’t really care enough to bother.
I have been following this thread for a while now but haven’t yet uploaded any pictures. Usually my Rumble 200 head (not pictured but bought for a good price from the Bass Gear For Sale Facebook group) and the 115 extension cab is adequate. Pictured is my Rumble 500 combo paired with the 115. A very versatile rig! Thanks for all the Rumble tips! Rumble on !!!

I am chuckling to myself regarding the grill favorites. I had Fenders and Ampeg back in the early ‘70’s. My Fenders all had silver grills then. But during my 40 year hiatus, I guess I missed the changing fashions to all black..... by the time I got back to buying a bass amp again, they looked just like before....
