As of today, I am a proud owner of a Fender Bumble 500 V3. Sounds great, IMO.
I had borrowed a friend of mine's 100 with the 12" speaker and thought it sounded very bloated and thumpy, like a cheap home stereo subwoofer. Not this one. Nope, this had tone for days! Maybe even WEEKS!![]()
I'm still enjoying my Bumble V3 500.I'll upload a pic of it one of these days.
I can't get over how much better it sounds (to me) than my buddy's V3 100. It was too boomy/muddy for my taste.
That's the ticket, Morbi! Show us a pic and get a member number. I love my 500 combo, too.
But, please, don't be so hard on the Rumble 100. I dunno why it comes without any acoustic dampening inside, like the 200 & 500 have, but many owners here find that lining just 3 of the walls gives a tremendous improvement in tone. See the Acoustic Fill links in the middle of the Rumble Modifications section of the Rumble Club Wiki page. You might tell your buddy, in case he'd like to try it. It's one of the few reversible mods that can keep the warranty intact.
