Fender Rumble Club

Yeah, bummer. Anyhoo, let us know if removing some of the foam makes a difference, sound-wise.
So. I did a little experimenting this A.M. Turns out the foam seems to be OK. The hollow wood stage we were on tends to "reinforce" bass freqs, so I usually use the MudStand. Apparently foam to reduce boomy + MudStand=
not enuff bottom. Lesson learned-use other amp stand at that venue.

Nice! Haven't been up there in quite a while, will see if I can make it
Ok, I hope we do OK, this will be our third weekend wth a new guitarist and the return of a previous guitarist. Neither is really sharp on all the songs at this point. The returning guitarist was a second lead/rhythm player and the new guy was playing bass for 25 years, but we have done OK so far.

Surprisingly I never thought I'd buy a black or red guitar. I always like the natural wood tops. I bought the new 1992 clear maple top Les Paul when they first came out for like 1200 bucks Westside music store in Santa Monica (I think that was the name of it ) for about 1200 bucks. A beauty, but this Black Les Paul with the coil taps ( now standard on the Standard Les Paul ) is really a beauty. I named it " nellybell".

Oh and thanks

Looking to upgrade my R500 head to a Bassman 800 head... but keep my R210 and R115 cabinets. I know the BM800 head is wider than both of these cabinets. Does anyone have pictures of a BM800 head on R210 and R115 cabinets?

We-ee-ell, kinda, sorta, like almost nearly, but not quite plum. I have my Bassman 500 (same size as Bassman 800) and Rumble 500 combo (same size as 210 cab) and Bassman 115 (little bigger'n Rumble 115) that I call my BassRumbMan rig.

Toward the bottom of the Rumble V3 Extension Cabinets section of the Rumble Club Wiki page there are some 210s with 115s. The Rumble 210 (or 200 or 500 combo) on its side fits the width of the Rumble 115 nicely!

Hope this helps.

Haha, at least one of the photos in the Wiki is of my rig!

Ok, I stand corrected. The BM head is more or less the same width as a R115 cabinet, and is as wide as the R210 is tall. So, I can flip the R210 on its side and it will support the BM head nicely.

That's all I need to know. Just need to find a BM head... local stocks are low!

So, I installed some rubber feet on the side of my R210 and rotated the logo in anticipation of a BM 800 purchase at some point in the near future.

The wooden corner of the removable grille doesn't leave much room to rotate the logo, so it looks a bit cramped. But, hey, it'll work.

Edit: in the attached picture the R210 is below the R115. The R115 is dimensionally a bit deeper so it may make more sense to have it on the bottom. But the R210 is heavier, so the centre of gravity is lower if it is on the bottom. To be honest either configuration could work.

Yo, Jug! I gotta recycle my main warning about the Bassman 800, that it can output up to 500 watts into 8 ohms! That is significantly more than the 400 watts at 8 ohms of both the Rumble Stage 800 or the Rumble 800 HD, either of which can safely use the Rumble 210 cab. Though the 210 was, and still is, rated jusr 350 watts on paper, obviously Fender's experience and testing has found it suitable for up to 400 watts in the Stage combo. But for use with the Bassman 800's potential 500 watts I would recommend caution! :woot:

And since the Rumble 115 is rated fir just 300 watts, I would further caution not to use it alone with the Bassman 800, nor even with the 210 if playing very loudly. If you really want to unleash the Bassman 800 I would recommend either two 210s, or at least one Rumble 410! :smug:

Good luck, Juggie.

Rumblers one and all, I just found this interesting article where "Reverb Reveals Its Best Selling Guitar and Bass Amps of 2020" and they say, "The continued popularity of home-friendly practice amps on the list isn't surprising as it's the most vibrant part of the market - especially with more players confined to their homes during this year's lockdowns ..." So, I just had to take a look.

Of course I expected Rumbles to be well represented, but I didn't know they would take the four top spots! :) And even the brawny Rumble 500 combo makes the list!! Not too shabby, eh? Not too shabby, at all.

So, what's on your shopping list this season?

Ho! Ho! Ho!
Merry Christmas to all,
And let us all merrily ...

Picked up a Rumble 100 on c-list locally earlier this week. Now I’m just waiting for FedEx to deliver the thing that plugs into it. :D

Yes, Jazzy, you sure did get a number 6-1/2 years ago! Welcome back, Rumbler #145!! Whew! Man! That's a really low number! I think you qualify for Club Founding Father status, especially with that V2 Rumble! You honor us with your return presence. Please don't be a stranger, anymore.

Put that very special number in your user profile Signature to be instantly recognized as a Rumbling bassist of distinction. ;)

BTW, Rumblers can always check The Club Membership Lists section of the Rumble Club Wiki page, when in doubt.

So below is my Fender Rumble Stage 800. Left picture is the day I brought her home last May, Right picture is the first show I played with her last October. Having used Ampeg 8x10's for 25 years, I was floored with the tone and versatility of sounds, and I love that I can carry it with one hand! I've also recorded with it (bass and guitar) and have had absolutely zero issues with it - love my Rumble!
