Fender Rumble Club

I've been away from the thread for a bit and seeing all this talk about preamps, has anyone tried the Fender Downtown Express with the Rumble?

Yeah, I have one. I like it a lot. It has a nice compressor and a really sweet OD. So far tho' I haven't figured quite how to employ the EQ other than for the EUB. That one has the most radical difference in settings looking for that DB sound. So for my other basses I'm not using the EQ of the DT Express. The Rumble settings seem to give me all I need there.

Hi fellow players, I own a Fender Rumble LT25 with a Squire Jazz Bass with Rotosounds,im trying to achieve Geddy.Lee and Chris Squire bass tone that being said, what are some of your recommended effects settings (numbers on amp) along with compression and EQ settings ? I know i'll never get dead on there sound alot is in there hands.....just wanna get close.....while were on settings how about John Entwistle's tone what would be his recommended settings....then i'll tweak all 3 in and hit SAVE....the manual dont say much pretty sure the LT40 Studio has a "Roundabout" setting the LT 25 does not. Thank You Very Much.

I'm using a Downtown Express with a Bassman and/or Rumble set-up. I really like the compressor (it's on all the time), and I kick in the eq (which i really like) and the drive (a bit so-so) as other options to save fiddling with settings mid-gig.

Which Bassman are you using? I just bought a Bassman 500 off of Reverb yesterday, shipping says it should be here tomorrow. For now, I'll run it with my 2x 210 Rumble v3 cabs. Still have my Rumble 500 Head in tow too.

I wanted more than 180.
He said "what about 180?"
I said "let me think about it, ill let you know around lunch"
Lunch comes around.
"180 and chocolate"
"3 bars"
"which flavours?"
"oreo, kex and milk. If they dont have all of them, get me more oreo"
"Deal"

He brought 4 :)
Nice! Good negotiating and good on the dude for bringing an extra. :)

Europeans aren’t that big into peanut butter, IME, @GonePlaid. Not a thing in most places there that I’ve been, including Sweden and Norway. :)
On my honeymoon we discovered an American diner place and it was run by a man from California and his wife. I walk in and I order a bunch of stuff "I want key lime pie and a Burger and Peanut butter pie..." and he didnt even let me finish ordering and said "nooo you dont. Look, I Would love to take your money but you wont be able to eat all that." and he just laughed because im this small girl and I tried ordering a mountain of food.

In order to show our appreciation we went there almost every night and ordered bit by bit, lemonade, their burgers and more.

Place is called Bad Wolf.
Planning to go back there soonish :)

Yo, munk, when you get your Bassman 500 try to find some time to post a pic of it in the Fender Bassman Club for a free membership! I think those Rumble 210s, either one or both, are gonna get the best outta that luscious head. As a Rumble 500 head owner you're already halfway there on exploring thr BM500h. The tube pre-amp, sweepable mids, and Deep switch are a few of the goodies you have to look forward to! Highly recommended.

I am contemplating a trade that nets me an Ibanez 400 bass (not sure of exact model) and a Rumble 25. For bedroom playing, will this amp be okay? Just wondering. Right now I am using an LTD B50FM into a Crate Soundwave amp. Sounds okay but it is not a bass amp and wondering will the Rumble sound better, not necessarily louder. Just getting into bass from guitar and trying to get some decent equipment to work with. For the Ibanez and the Rumble, I will be trading a MIM Fender Tele Nashville Edition guitar. Don't know if I really want to make that trade for the equipment I would be getting.
