I unfortunately had to sell my Nano Battalion a week or so ago. I use a Rumble Stage 800, but often used the Rumble V3 presets. I have an American Pro II P bass with flats (TalkBass shocker, right?). The Nano Battalion was very versatile for me, personally. Sounded very good for my needs. As for the mids, there is a switch on there to boost mids (if needed in certain band situation), keep mids flat, or even cut mids. Having the extra bass knob really helped me in certain situations, too. You can get a tube-like sound from it from what I experienced. It won’t be perfect, but it works decently. I turned down the treble and gain in order to get a warmer feeling but still have a little bit of saturation. I really liked the pedal and hated having to sell it.

Sorry you had to let the pedal go. I got one headed this way from GC and I'm feeling pretty stoked. It honestly might work perfect for me, because I'm not looking for a clean warm tone. I'm shooting for wet with some clank. I know something like a sansamp bddi would probably do the trick, but the nano battalion is about half the price. GC has a great return policy but I hate being the guy who takes back a perfectly good item just because it doesn't fit my specific needs.

Let us know how you like it! With the clean blend, eq, and even the eq routing switch, it hit everything I personally needed. I never really used the preamp/DI portion, but I’m guessing it works great. I used it as more of a traditional OD pedal when I played.

I'm getting the nano battalion not sansamp, so no DI will be included with the box. Which actually brings me to my next question... I'm sure it's been asked before, but I'm here anyway so: how does the pre/post switch on the 800 head affect the effects loop? I'm assuming post includes the loop but the manual says the master volume is left out?
