Fender Rumble Club

Sounds like a great gig and a nice location. Glad it worked out and live music is back! Nice pic. What kind of music do you guys play?
It was actually my first gig with this band, joined them earlier this year (I’ve played with the vocalist/guitarist and keyboard player in various formations in the past). We play blues and traditional rock.

Here is the set list for last night.

Why condescending? I'll admit I'm having a hard time putting my finger on it. It's something to do with your incorrect assumption that I missed G-dog's humour. I'm sensitive to these things.

But we all know that references to someone's nationality (or race, or gender, or ....) can easily go wrong, even if made with the best of intentions.

I appreciate your trying to be helpful, it just didn't work out this time.

1. I didn’t realize you were so sensitive. My apologies.
ii. I do not see anything wrong with my reference to nationality, there was nothing I said other than it might be a misunderstanding.
C. This will be my last comment on this matter.

Much too boring--60's, gave up piano due to osteoarthritis--absolute beginner on bass. Figured 4 strings had to be easier than 88 . Actually, prefer the mid bass in music to any other frequency range, so bass seemed a good fit. No plans to play with others--I intend to transcribe melody of songs that I like to bass for my own enjoyment (when I get good enough to play them). The VM Jaguar SS and Rumble 40v3 seemed to be a good place for a beginner. In truth, I likely will never outgrow them. I can always modify them if the desire arises. Thanks for the welcome.

Now I’m having trouble hearing a problem, maybe it could have been the speaker connection and unplugging and replugging that fixed it? Maybe taking it apart jarred something loose?

I don’t know… I don’t know if it’s comforting that it all of the sudden sounds okay and I’m not sure if anything was really fixed though…

So, how's it going, Daymian? Still having trouble hearing a problem? Please let us know.

Got a gig today at the local bar and my Rumble 100 will be making a debut, replacing the R500/115. We've played there quite a bit and its a small front area corner that the bands set up. The combo is nice and small, perfect for this type of place. I'm pretty sure that the volume won't be an issue but I do worry that I'll have to turn up too much and then lose a lot of nice tone. We'll have to go through to know for sure. I'll let you know what happens

The R100 sounded awesome. My drummer kept saying all night that he could hear me fine. Loved the tone. Said it sounded, "Really, really good." I'm going back there in a month or so and I'll tweak it. For my taste, it needed to be fuller to my ear in real time. That was the only thing lacking, the fullness. But I didn't turn around to fiddle with some knobs. I had the rig set flat (Bass-10:00, Low mid- 2:00, High Mids- 2:00 and treble 10:00). Gain at 12:00, Volume at 10:00. I could have raised the Bass control or engaged the Vintage switch. But let it be known. R100 works great in a small bar. Check out the video for a rumble tone check. Its an iPhone Video but it should give a good idea of a live situation.

Sounds good, both your band and your bass:thumbsup:.

Sounds like you had plenty going for the band and the venue. I've found with all 3 of my Rumbles-40, 100, 200c-that engaging the VINTAGE adds fullness(sometimes for a 'boomy' room I'll add BRIGHT for presence).Otherwise, pretty much the same settings work for most gigs. Enjoy your Rumble experience.

Nice! If I ever need a real portable amp again I plan on picking up a 100 now. (Unless I find a Rumble 112 of course...)
