Fender Rumble Club

I have the Fender Rumble Studio 40 and recently purchased the GTX-7 footswitch. I was wondering if anyone has the MGT-4 footswitch for comparison.

The GTX-7 has separate buttons for record and dub. The MGT-4 has one button for record and dub. So, how do you select if you want to record or dub with one button? I tried reading the manual and couldn't figure it out.

Welcome, Archie! Please post a photo of your Rumble here to join our Rumble Club. :D

You may find some answers in the GTX-7 & MGT-4 references in the the Rumble Studio & Stage Links section of our Rumble Club Wiki page, the repository of all Rumbling wisdom and knowledge.

Then, if you have follow-up questions, or comments on this subject, please post them in our Club's Rumble LT25, Studio 40 & Stage 800 sub-thread intended for discussions specific to Fender bass modeling issues. That's really the most appropriate place, since the GTX-7 & MGT-4 only work with the Stage & Studio and no other Rumbles. ;)

It's not that we don't want Stage & Studio discussions here, after all they are Rumbles, too. It's just that we try to keep this main Rumble Club thread relatively free from the "more technical" aspects of modeling that many (most?) non-modeling Rumblers may find confusing.

I hope you understand. :)

Thanks @G-Dog and sorry for posting in the wrong forum. I think I found the answer I was looking for in one of the links you provided.

Not at all, Arch. Glad to help. That's what we're here for.

We'd still love to see your Rumble, though, and read about your experiences with it. ;)

I am so confused...??????..... LOLLOLOL

My Rumble 40 has arrived. I like it so far. Plenty of volume and lows. I got a tuner and reverb pedal to go with it. This will be my solo lounge/gallery/reception rig, starting tomorrow night.

The cardboard cover I made last week fits perfectly. It also works well as a stand, but I prefer the amp tilted back on the floor.

I already removed the Fender logo for a cleaner look. Might also change the corners and grille cloth to black like the Studio 40.

BTW, the amp weighs only 14 pounds. I was expecting 18, so this is a nice surprise. Maybe 18 includes the shipping box?

Looks awesome. How did you get the look? Paint?
I have a murdered out bass and want the amp to match.
thank you!

View attachment 4207613 I dont know if any of you remember but I have modded my rumble 100 into a pure stealth rumble a few months ago and now the paint on the corners has chipped away because of the rumble of bass Hahaha.

I guess I will have to re do the paint job on the corners again :)

Thats all, still loving my rumble!

Following @G-Dog 's kind instructions, here's my Rumble Studio 40 (with my GK Plex preamp pedal after last night's FX loop experiments... (you can amplify, but Rumble Studio 40 cabinet models and effects aren't available)).

Woo hoo! A Thursday two-fer! @odrive you are now member #1378 in the Fender Rumble Club. And @drnct you are now member #1379 in the Fender Rumble Club. Congratulations and welcome to you both. Please put your Rumble numbers in your TB Signature for safe keeping. Make yourselves at home both here and on your Rumble Club Wiki page, the repository of all Rumbling wisdom and knowledge.

You're right, odrive, the Rumble 40 is reputed to weigh 18 lb.s. So, that 14 pounder is a bonus ultralight! I haven't weighed any of my amps. I wonder if I've got any such hidden bonuses?

And, drnct, as you've already found out, you're also very welcome to discuss specifics of your Studio 40 in our Rumble LT25, Studio 40 & Stage 800 sub-thread. But generalities of your Studio that would also apply to other non-modeling Rumbles, such as accessories, covers, or stands, etc., are most welcome here in the main Club thread. ;)

Please tell us a bit about yourselves, such as your bass experience in general and your Rumble journey in particular. Since we have all kinds here, you're bound to fit right in. But, of course, we all here love to ... ...

Rumble On!
Rumble On!

First time posting, I have no Idea what I am looking at. Can I plug my rumble 25 into my Rumble 100 and KEEP the R25's effects and use the R100's better speakers? if so, any cable choice ideas? Thank you in advance.

Welcome to TalkBass in general and to the Fender Rumble Club in particular! Please show us a photo of your Rumbles and get a free membership!

That was an electronic block diagram of the Rumbles 40 - 500, which are all the same, schematically. But then, Pat, you ask an ... uh, ... interesting question!

A. Since the headphones jack is the only output on the R25, perhaps a 1/8" to 1/4" cable from the R25's headphones jack (which will turn off the R25's speaker!) to the R100's FX Return (which bypasses the R100's pre-amp!). The controls on the R100 would be bypassed and the settings on the R25 would completely control the R100. This might get what you're asking for, but you would only get tone from the R100.

2. But to more properly "chain" the R25 & R100 together it would be easiest to connect an instrument cable from the R100's FX Send to the input of the R25. This would give you tone from both amps! Just beware that the R100 settings could possibly overdrive the tone of the R25 a bit, but shouldn't damage anything. Each amp could then be adjusted differently, though the R100 settings will have some affect on the R25 tone.

I hope this helps you, Pat. I look forward to seeing your Rumbles!
