Fender Rumble Club

So trying out my new (to me) Rumble 1x12 cab with the Rumble 800HD. Man it sounds awesome! Wonder why Fender discontinued it. Great little cabinet. Even Kenny approves!

Considering the light weight of those 12's, I'd buy a head and use them all day long if I was still gigging. I'd probably buy 3 of them and stack em up!!!!!

Wow, Classy! There's just so much beauty in the pic!!

But, being the Rumble Club, I feel duty bound to point out the potential danger of the Rumble 800 HD possibly putting up to 400 watts into that cute little 250 watt rated Rumble 112. But, surely, you know that already. ;)

@LoveJackBruce is on the right track when he says he'd stack up three 112s! That'd only put a max of 266.7 watts into each one. Four 112s would make it just 200 watts per cab. :thumbsup:

Actually the program rating for that speaker is 500W, so I am fine. I mainly got it for smaller type venues, for big venues I use my Rumble 210 cabinets. But gotta say last night that 112 was plenty loud!

You mean something like this?
Which actually is my Rumble 500 with a 2x10 Rumble extension cab.

I actually have two Rumble 2x10 cabinets. So future gigs at big venues I will being use both cabinets along with the 800HD head.

Great idea! (where ya gonna find 2, even)
My original thought-in 2015-was a 200h + 2x112's. Prolly shoulda. Oh, well...:oops::bag:

Gig tonight, 6 to 10, American Legion in Port St. Lucie, FL. It's the only place I ever used the 200c/112(sounded great), but a change in managers meant we lost that booking. The 112 sat under my dining room table for over a year so I sold it(the 112, not the table). I once daisy chained the 100>200c there, but one set in I unplugged the 200c-the 100 is enuff. This room has the longest, PITA load in, through the crowd, so I'll just be taking the 100 [+ mic stand, music stand, stool, rug(tile floor), duffel w/ mics, bass stand, cables, lyrics book, stand light, train horn], amp stand, and THUNDERBIRD. All in a cart, 2 trips.

Yeah, no. Program rating is like peak, for extremely short terms only, like seconds or less. Those are the numbers the salesmen like to push. The Rumble 800 HD is up to 400w continuous with just a single 8 ohm cab, like all set long! The Rumble 112 is only 250w continuous. So, don't turn it up much over halfway or you'll release the magic smoke. A word to the wise ... ... :whistle:

Four 8 ohm cabs us all you can do with a single Rumble 800 HD, Lovey. That gives you the 2 ohm minimum total. ;) For five or six cabs, up to eight total, you'll need a second Rumble 800 HD and "chain" them together FX Send to FX Return. :woot::drool:

Oh I know, been doing this for a long time! I always run higher power amps then what the cab is rated for. Gives me the cleanest possible tone. Especially with the Fodera. Used a Genz-Benz Shuttle 9.0 which is 900W for many years with lower rated cabs with my Alembic. Never had any issues. Plus I am not playing metal or hard rock. Many a combo of funk, swing, jazz and blues. If I need to be louder, I break out the 2x10 cabinets.

Update: home from the gig a while ago. We fooled 'em again. THUNDERBIRD>R100 performed as expected. Folks there like us a lot. Should be getting more dates soon.

First gig last night with the new Rumble 40. It had no trouble filling 1,500 square feet of art gallery space with background instrumental music -- see amp settings below. The Contour button was engaged. I did not realize till now how high the gain was set, but it sounded super clean. Got many complements on the sound.

Also, there was a chance of rain, which never came, but I added a layer of Hefty bag to the cardboard cover just in case. I was especially thankful for the cover when I had to cram the amp into the small trunk of my Lyft ride. The fast and clumsy maneuver easily could have scarred the amp without a cover. If I ever buy a real one, it will be padded.
