I piggyback my rumble 40s di out to my rumble 200s effects return and the combination is pretty incredible in tone and volume.
Wanna see that one!

Yep. Seems to be a total DIY project. The question has been asked, but nobody I know has found a source to repair or replace the grille of an amp for us.
If your frame is still intact, you can replace the fabric with the fabric Souly suggests. If your frame is broken, look for a local woodworker. Some have made a new frame and added their own fabric. It doesn't appear to be too hard (except for me).
.

Nope(both). It'd be difficult for me also. At least to get it right.Uh, ... hi, there, Goner!
Ummm, ... do you wish to be excused to use the little boy Rumblers' Room? Uh, ... or do you make new grille panels for sale?
.
Not defective, just the speakers not holding up. I personally think they over rated for what they really are, as in they are rated for more watts than they can really handle. I've had the first cab since 2015 or 16. And the 2nd since 2018 or 19. And I play the Rumble 500 head through them.
I think its the use of heavy Fuzz ( for 1 song) and Dirty Boost that has been pushing the speakers too far. Plus we use to play a lot of places with no PA support outside of vocals and maybe kick. So I don't think the speakers can take that much.
The old cab my buddy borrowed had the first replacement speaker in it From Fender, the one pulled out of a dead combo. But I knew the speakers were getting ready to go, they seemed to have rub happening. And the 2nd cab is starting to sound like that now. My buddy uses a TON of Treble with his Jazz and a finger player. I mainly use flats on my P with 90% fingers with a lot of heavy lows. The 1st cab just sounds like distorted flub at low volume now, 2nd only when turn up to gigging volume.
There is probably a 100 or so gigs on the 1st cab. I used 1 cab and the 500 head for long bit, but then split duty with my GK MB212ii combo for the rest of the time AND added the 2nd cab to help make everything sound bigger and less push on each cab (sounds amazing). All gigs this year have been my Bassman 500 and Bassman Pro410 cab. (Played our 1st gig this year last month and only a few since)
I was going to do the speaker swap to try them out some time ago, but then world imploded and I kinda just left my gear alone outside of fussing with pedals via headphones at home and practicing the same way. It ws only now that we released our first album and got back to playing out a bit, that I even remembered the speaker swap. I didn't even see my band mates for a year and half. The bass and drums were done pre pandemic and they rest was done mostly remotely during. I was suppose to re-record a couple tracks, but that never happened. Ended up with my live track with the drums. We did the drums and bass live in a single afternoon. So a lot of what I was doing was the less is more for that with the intention to redo some. Oh well.
I have a Rumble 40, too. The foot switch isn’t proprietary; any latching (vs. momentary) footswitch will do. Fender offers a relatively cheap one, though:Oh dear, I seem to be wading in right in the middle of a key conversation. Just bought myself a Rumble amp, and was advised I should find my way over here!
Just snagged a Rumble 40 for rehearsing, after trying a couple Rumbles, and realizing the bigger speaker, and more flexible EQ made it more appealing than the 15 or 25w versions. Love how stupidly light this little combo is.
I just noticed the amp comes with a footswitch jack on the back. I assume that's for the OD circuit? As well, any of you fine folks know which specific footswitch I'd need for this amp? Fender seems to have a million, and they each only work for one specific amp...
EDIT: Oh yeah... photo evidence to prove I'm on the level!

Yup. Thass the one I gots. Works for all 3(40, 100, 200c). As MUTE, of course.I have a Rumble 40, too. The foot switch isn’t proprietary; any latching (vs. momentary) footswitch will do. Fender offers a relatively cheap one, though:

Welcome to the club! I use this Fender footswitch. It's not their least expensive, but I like the weight of it. Very solid. And, yes, it's for the OD circuit. But that's NOT what some of us use it for. Turn both OD knobs fully counterclockwise, and the footswitch acts like a MUTE! Very handy.Oh dear, I seem to be wading in right in the middle of a key conversation. Just bought myself a Rumble amp, and was advised I should find my way over here!
