Thank you for accepting me into this august company! I've been playing bass since the early 80s, and I try to keep learning. I've had so many influences over the years, Paul McCartney, Geezer Butler, John Entwistle, Chris Squire, Jaco Pastorius, Geddy Lee, Victor Wooten, the list could go on forever. I just keep listening, and if I hear something interesting, I'll goof around with it. I love listening to jazz and fusion, and with that as an influence I jam along with drum loops quite a lot to give myself ideas. I played through a Fender BXR 300 for awhile with a 2x10 cab on top back in the 90s, and my first Fender amp was an old Bassman 10 with loose tubes. I've always liked Fender, so I bought a Rumble 500 for a wedding reception gig and really liked it. I bought a Rumble 25, and am giving it to my brother, and got a Rumble 40 that I can use both as a practice amp and take it to jam with others in small spaces very easily. I've thought about getting a 1x15 for the Rumble 500 to get the whole 500 watts, but it might be overkill, given PAs. It gets over drums fine onstage. Here are the Rumbles, and two of my basses in my cluttered practice space. The 40 is in the forefront, the 500 is in back, on an amp stand. The basses are a G&L Fullerton Deluxe JB, and a Fender Player Series fretless Jazz.

A car and and semi on rural 2 lane road. They are shutting the road for 2 hours, so we cancelled and heading back to sebring. That storm cleared out fast.

I made it home. Our new guitarist passed it just after it happened before any emergency people got there. I work for the local paper and took a picture as we turned around. It is listed as a fatal. Looked like a big tow truck, with twin rear axles was involved and the front half of a car is gone.

And, ajuk, you should also consult our Rumble LT25, Studio 40 & Stage 800 sub-thread for bass modeling discussions. For example, @JAC70 has posted a decoding of the stock LT25 presets. Perhaps you could use that form to document your newly created presets, too?

Sierra, the speakers are supposed to mute when using headphones for quiet practice to not disturb others. If you're not getting any sound from the speakers without headphones try these diagnostics:

A. Plug an instrument cable into the FX Send and the FX Return jacks. This bypasses the cut-off switch in the FX Return jack that can get corroded and cut-off signal to the power amp. If this helps, you just need to clean the FX Return jack with a small swab of contact cleaner.

2. Also, make sure the Drive and Level controls are not turned all the way down to zero with the Overdrive engaged. Some Rumblers use that as a "mute switch", since it turns off the speakers.

I Started bass only 18 months ago, I've wanted to learn since being a teenager and never did. In Summer 2020 I was delivering in my job and someone had left a bass amp outside, I checked to see if it was free and I was told I could have it.
Then I had a bass amp but no bass. As I have more money now and my own place I thought I'd better buy one. A few weeks later I had a Ibanez TMB-100. I don't have that amp any more, now I have the Fender amp, but I still have my first bass as well as a Sire P7.

Hey Marc..I live in the driest city in the driest state of Australia which is one of the driest countries in the world..boy would I like to see it rain here soon loll (our winter coming up June July August so let's hope we get some rain).

Howdy boys... I just want to make sure I got this right... I have an 800 HD, a rumble 210 cabinet, and a bassman 15 cabinet. I leave the switch on 8/4 ohms when I hook up both cabs right?

Still one of the coolest basses I've ever seen. Love the non-reverse Gibsons. I had the matching 6 string back in the day.

Agreed. Except for one thing...the covers. I've never been a fan. Reminds me too much of my ex's...don't play me here. A guy needs a thumb rest from time to time.

No rain 'cause no mountain ranges. Mostly. The U.S. has the Rockies range in the west and the Appalachians range in the east. Makes a difference. But it does rain once in awhile. Like the terrible storm that flooded the northeast and killed and dislocated all of those animals and people. And the flood waters rising around Sydney last week. Stuff does happen there.

Florida is as flat as a Waffle House pancake, but it's Florida. All kinds of stuff falls from the sky there, including rain. And southern Florida is the lightning capitol of, if not the world, at least the U.S. I've spent lots of time sitting in planes at Miami Int'l waiting for ground crews to come out of hiding after nearby lightning ends.

Update: R100 was more than enuff. Coulda used the R40, but I like the tone of a 12"-or 2.

Damn! On 98?

Right, on 98 in Highlands County, maybe a few miles before county line. From there no other route to okeechobee. A fellow reporter said yesterday that a friend had a close call on the highway when someone passing a line of vehicles approached him and to avoid collision passed him on his passenger side. There is not much shoulder on that road.
