The Kasino has wheels in the rear corners. You tilt it toward you like it was on a handtruck. It's still a bitc...,er, PITA.

Mine had 4 casters, no less of a PITA. The casters were small so they got stuck on everything and they didn't rotate well. It was like pushing a car with a drunk inside steering against you while pushing the brake. :roflmao:

Didn't help to be a terrible new player and loud with it either :D

My first bass amp, an EMC, was somewhat less than 100 lb.s, but didn't feel like much less! At just 20 years old I could pick it up when I had to, but I'd push it almost a mile on its little (inadequate) casters to avoid picking it up, if I could. Fortunately, my college show choir group had 4 very considerate male singers who helped the drummer, guitarist and I move our stuff (if they weren't setting up the PA).

But, yeah, small casters can be absolutely useless in the real world, especially outdoors on unpaved surfaces or rough/broken concrete! Gimme a hand truck with 8" or 10" pneumatic tires and I'd move stuff all day! In fact, I did in some of my early jobs!

You just know there was an engineer somewhere laughing "they think these casters will work?" Meanwhile they save $5 on each amp by using small and insufficient ones. :roflmao:

It won't be the engineer, it will finish in the bean-counter's office and them going, "we've got these casters that cost 50 cents instead of the 5 dollar ones that engineering want..." lol.
Can't tell you how many times I've had that happen to me on projects. But engineering gets thrown under the bus for the shortcoming! :rollno:

I placed the order for the Rumble 115 today, it should be here midweek. Of course I will post pics of it all when it gets here. In the 90s, I had a BXR 300 with a BXR 210 extension cab, so the 115/210 combination is something I am familiar with, and liked. Now its opposite, the combo has the tens and the cab has the 15. Evolution?

I got a chance to run to a Guitar Center in town that had a new Rumble 500 Combo in stock today. I fired the brand new one up and sure enough, the fan sounded similar to mine. So I decided to just keep the used one and save myself a couple hundred bucks.

Augh!!! Here we go again! As if the engineer's design is what actually gets produced! In something like this the engineer has to make an impassioned plea to upper management, if not executives, to get his amp & speaker design approved. Everything else is packaging and potshotted by accountants and ad men!! :rage: (Nothing personal, WI. :D Halfway kidding. :thumbsup:)​

Amen, Phil!! You must be a fellow engineer! I suffered such slings and arrows early in my career. :banghead: But it didn't me long to learn to fight fire with fire and come back with, "It was your manager that vetoed the ['costly easy-to-use valves' or whatever the complainer wanted], and said that his people were experts with the ['standard, cheaper valves' or whatever the complainer got]!" All the managers wanted the brand new Cadillac projects, but at the used Yugo price! We did our best to build 'em a serviceable Ford, Chevy or Dodge. Then they either used 'em to good effect or refitted them to a new Cadillac or a used Yugo! :mad:

Sorry! Retired 9 years and still couldn't keep my [virtual] mouth shut on some trigger issues. :bag:
