Fender Rumble Club

Picked up a minty Rumble 100 for $200 last weekend. Nice little amp to practice with when I don’t want to fire up the Ampeg. Decided it needed some new “clothes” so I went to the fabric store and replaced the grill cloth. This might be blasphemous in the Rumble club but I think it looks awesome. The most difficult part was choosing the fabric pattern.

Another way to run it is from the effects out to the normal in. That's how I did it when I played a big outside gig and it was great. Just something else to try.
It works, but that means you have two amps to set controls on. I'm not sure on this, but I think there is also a difference in signal strengths between what an effects in and an instrument jack expect.
The reason to use the effects in (return) is you are using only one preamp, the one you plug you instrument into. Going in to the effects in bypasses the preamp of the second (slave) amp.

I actually just ran both amps like I normally do with the tones at 10, 2, 2, and 2. which is pretty flat for my setup with TI Flats. I enjoyed having complete control over both amps even though I didn't change anything. It did give me seperate volumes. It was like the 100 was a preamp to the 200. I only mentioned it because I was amazed at how well it worked that night. Definitely worth trying if anyone plans to daisy chain a 100 and 200. I've tried it both ways and this was my preferred method.

Not blasphemous at all, meza! That looks great, very retro!! @mezatron, you are now member #1510 in the Fender Rumble Club. Congratulations and welcome. Put that number in your TalkBass Signature for safe keeping. Then make yourself at home here and on your Rumble Club Wiki page, the repository of all Rumbling wisdom and knowledge.

How about telling us a bit about yourself, meza, such as your bass experience in general and your Rumble journey in particular. Whatever your situation you're going to fit right in here since we have all kinds. But we all love to ... ... ...

Rumble On!

Hey all, I'm new to talkbass and loving the conversations. I would like to join the Fender Rumble Club. I currently have the Rumble Studio 40 but am looking to upgrade since our band is starting to play small gigs. Thanks - Kyle

Attaboy, Kyle! @Kyle G1973, you are now member #1511 in the Fender Rumble Club. Congratulations and welcome. Put that number in your TalkBass Signature for safe keeping. Then make yourself at home here and on your Rumble Club Wiki page, the repository of all Rumbling wisdom and knowledge.

For bass modeling discussions with your Rumble Studio please use the club's Rumble LT25, Studio 40 & Stage 800 sub-thread, so as not to complicate this main Club thread, OK? Do you want to upgrade to the Stage 800? That would certainly handle anything your band would want to do! Another possibility is the Rumble 500 combo, which could be used alone, or to reinforce your Studio for big gigs!

Please tell us a bit about yourself, such as your bass experience in general and your Rumble journey in particular. Whatever your situation you're going to fit right in here since we have all kinds. But we all love to ... ... ...

Hmm. You could boost the bass on the 200c to ~1 or 2 for some serious low end roar.

Pretty much what I do. I bought a Donner splitter. 1 in 2 out both outs have volume control that light and it has a phase switch. One out to my 200c with a 15 the other out to an inexpensive Behringer head sending the signal through my Rumble 210. Wow!!
I love the sound! We have a couple classic P basses plugged in. Just amazing!
