Fender Rumble Club

The one on the left is fretless.

Stage? Nah, just a space in the room where they coulda put 3-4 more tables.
And sometimes in a space where they could’ve put ONE more table. :roflmao:
Makes me glad at times when I can leave the R100 home and just go through my Sansamp to the board to the PA. Not my preferred tone but everything but a guitar stand fits in my bass case!:D

My 100 suffered smoke damage. Decided to replace the cloth because of the smell.

On a related note, has anyone ever replaced the knobs on their rumble? Mine are discolored.
Yes. They also get 'sticky'. Got these offa ebay:

Hey, eastx, I love it long time! @eastxembalmer, you are now member #1512 in the Fender Rumble Club. Congratulations and welcome. Put that number in your TalkBass Signature for safe keeping. Then make yourself at home here and on your Rumble Club Wiki page, the repository of all Rumbling wisdom and knowledge.

How about telling us a bit about yourself, eastx, such as your bass experience in general and your Rumble journey in particular? Whatever your situation you're going to fit right in here since we have all kinds. But we all love to ... ... ....

Rumble On!

They do get sticky, though I must say it hasn’t been much of a problem as far as I’m concerned. I own four Rumbles, and have only had it happen to a couple of knobs in the past 5 years or so.

There is a fairly simple remedy. Remove the offending knob, and scrub it with a scotchbrite dish sponge until the sticky residue is gone. It will look exactly like before, but will no longer be or become sticky.

I had a set of PSB headphones get this sticky feel. I used diluted Murphy's soap oil and it cleaned up really nice, sticky feel gone and the original finish felt restored. If/When the Rumble knobs go that we I'd do the same to them.

Edit: oops, it's Murphy's Oil Soap (at least I had the right words...)

I’m not familiar with that product, and I doubt if it’s available in my part of the world. But if it works, it works. :)

I didn't know it before a few months ago either, but it's pretty cool stuff. It's an old skool cleaner and works a treat on fret boards and necks, especially the Squier unfinished stuff. I was really happy how it cleans and offers a bit of protection to the bare maple without coloring it.
