I have a Rumble 500C, and a Rumble 100.
Recently on a whim, I bought an Ashdown HD-1 head, along with 2 Ashdown cabinets, thinking I might like it better than my Fenders.
Nope. Lesson learned. I’m sticking with Fender! They just do it for me. Ashdown is going up for sale.

Be glad to! I started playing bass in 1980, and until the pandemic started, I was playing a lot of weekends. Not so much now, but that’s ok actually.
Anyway, the first Fender bass amp I ever owned was a Bassman 10, bought new in 1982. I’ve been through a lot Fenders since then;
BXR 100
BXR 400
Bassman 100 tube head
Bassman 60 combo
Bassman 250 2X10
Along with Fenders, I’ve tried other brands over the years-Yorkville, Hartke, Peavey, but have always come back to Fender. I just like them.
In 2014, I took a chance, and got the Rumble 500C. Wow! This amp made me stand back and say, “Fender is really getting serious about bass amplification now!” I had a Rumble 115 cabinet, but hardly used it. I got it in 2014, because I wanted an extension cab, and the 2X10 didn’t exist yet. This amp roars at its full 500 watts, but on its own, at least for me, it’s plenty for 99% of my gigs. I traded that cab towards Ashdown, but I only feel bad about going with Ashdown. Of course, once I unload the Ashdown rig, I will get a 2X10, but for now-the 500C can handle whatever I need from it!

On this, I put the blackface Fender emblem, and black numbered knobs. I love this amp! I think Fender knocked it out of the park with these.
Got them from Amazon or fleabay(I don't remember which). They're slightly smaller than the originals which works better for my fattish fingers.[my usual hi-def pix. NOT!]
This is what I use(d), originally R200cV3>R112 cab; since used R100>R200c, or R100>R100. Three foot cable with 2x90 degree ends.

(I don't remember) I think it's guitar, but I got it ~5 years ago. It says EGLL3 on it. I'm guessing that's Electric Guitar L(jack), L(jack), 3'. (?)
Since the signal from an FX Send jack has not gone thru a power amp, an instrument cable is sufficient. However, I don't believe it would hurt anything to use a speaker cable, which is more heavy-duty.

The effects send on a Rumble 100 is a line level output (1kΩ (balanced). You can safely use either, but an insulated instrument cable is always the better/correct choice. A speaker cable will work, but you very well could get interference. Any guitar signal, whether it be from guitar to amp, guitar to pedals or pedalboard, between pedals, or in an effects loop should always be a regular insulated guitar type cable.
As a side note: Although you might "temproarily" use a short speaker cable for line level, you shouldn't use an instrument cable for a speaker cable.
