I got to use the dual Rumble 100 stack and my new Greco for the first time Christmas eve. About 45 minutes worth of Christmas carols. We ran the gamut from O Holy Night to Away in a Manger to Go Tell it on the Mountain. Mellow to a bit rocking with a phaser to punchy with distortion, and the rig sounded brilliant on all. My left hand slightly prefers the necks on my CP and VP, but ithe Greco is still a killer bass. My other basses told me their names right away. This one hasn’t so far.
I played through two stacked Rumble 100s chained together. Twice the wattage isn’t twice the volume, but the stacked cabs move a lot of air. I had to turn the volume down quite a bit to not overwhelm the mix - just an acoustic guitar, a mandolin, and vocals. With the volume at 9 o’clock, it filled the high ceilinged room (~30x30ft (~10x10m)with 75-80 people) - and I wasn’t digging in. It sounded fuller than the one R100 as well. Worth the extra effort!

That is the linear coupling effect for you. Exactly the same as when stacking a Rumble 500 with a 210 cab.

Gig report: Along with the Rumble 800, I used an Ampeg PF115LF (8 ohm) to utilize the full 800 watts, as well as a Genzler Re/Q for the HPF 40Hz cutoff as well as handling the lo- and hi-mids. I couldn't dial in decent mids on the Rumble so I'll have to experiment. With 'Vintage' mode on, I got a bit more punch at the expense of high midrange, for some reason. I shut it off halfway through and while the 800 doesn't have quite the warmth as the Rumble 500, it did pack plenty of punch and grit, and the amp lived up to its namesake; clear, mudless, well-defined lows and plenty of volume. I'll be using it at my NYE gig at a venue where there is no working elevator and we're on the third floor; my 810 Heritage is staying home.
I always use VINTAGE; I'll add BRIGHT if the room seems boom-y for a bit of clarity.
I use my 200 with a 210. Sound is fantastic!
Even on my R100 with vintage on (about 99.99999% of the time) I generally will bump the high mids more. I am sure with some experimenting on your part you will find a tone, or several, on the R800 that you are happy with.
The vintage button is what sold me on my first Rumble.
