Not the fugliest head I've ever seen, Chuck. It could be a lot worse!

Important part is what does it sound like? Rumble cabs are great, but they they can only do so much with the signal they're given.

Seems interesting and a few pounds lighter than the 500c... The "low" mode is also pretty cool... Different speakers...

I'm sure it's been covered well here, but thoughts of it compared to the 500c?

That should sound fine. I'd like it better if the Yamaha was painted black.

There's a thread specifically for the 800c. I shared my thoughts on it in there, for what it's worth. There's a known issue with clipping, even at medium volume levels that are extremely frustrating. Many people who have responded didn't hear it, but always makes you wonder what people really hear and what they don't hear. I reckon my ears are finely tuned to every little nuanced sound that comes out of my amp, because I obsess over it. I did not like the 800c and traded it for a 500c. That being said, I'm not overly crazy about that either, but it's the best option I had locally. It is indeed a good little combo amp.

I guess it's time to join the club, I have the Rumble 15 at a practice room & a Rumble 40 as my go-to amp. Still learning and playing to Spotify, but hopefully the Rumble 40 can extend to garage band jamming at some point. The Rumble 40 is being shy behind my Guild Starfire, but it's there - promise!

Yes, the Rumble 40 should get you into garage band jamming. It can do much more than most people expect from such a small, light amp. Yay, hahahah. The one in this photo is one I bought a few months ago. The “Soulful” one I keep paired w my R200c. I can separately identify them by a some construction tape slap dashed on one of them.

It sounds Grrrrrrreat! Played this pairing last month in a relatively small bar. It brings the thunder. Whatever Yamaha Music Corp stuffed in there 40 years ago is still working.

The original Yamaha combo (with 15” speaker) was used it venues from basement saloons to mid sized theaters. The Yamaha B100 amp has been my battle worn partner through every performance event and practice/jam session since the mid 80s. The problem: 97 pounds.

I’ve been primarily a guitar player since I began playing back in 1957. I do have a Squire VM CAR short scale Jaguar bass and a RUMBLE 15 that Bought it probably close to 15 years or more ago. I just use for my home recordings. Too late to get a number?

Well, I haven’t expired yet, but did go through 7 weeks of chemo and radiation last fall. Cancer free now! So my expiration date hasn’t come up yet.
