Fender Rumble Club

Hi everyone. Finally got a chance to stretch the Rumble 500 combo's legs a bit at an outdoor winery gig yesterday.
Our FOH is a pair of Bose L1's with the subs. I had my work cut out for me.
I started the EQ at the 10/2/2/10 "flat setting". As the gig progressed, I bumped high mid to noon and backed off bass to 9.

Gain and Master both at noon and there was plenty of sound with a drummer and 2 guitars (one playing a vintage Deluxe).

The only issue I see is figuring out how to EQ as I'm used to my GK or Genzler rigs running straight flat, but the "Classic" tones on the Rumble are just great. The horn isn't as sparkly, but when you're covering classic rock with the likes of Talking Heads and the Grateful Dead, smooth highs aren't a bad thing.

I have 2 gigs next week, one inside and one out so it should be a good test ground.

The pic is a little over exposed, but you get the idea.

Thanks for this PW, found it at Amazon US. And thanks @CraigL for the bluetooth gadget suggestion. I'm old-school however and prefer cables and connections that I can actually see (and yes trip over occasionally).

I use a "UGREEN Aux Cord for iPhone Lightning to 3.5mm Cable for Car MFi Certified 3.5mm Headphone Jack Male Stereo Audio Adapter Compatible with iPhone 14 Pro Max/14 Plus/13 Mini Pro Max 12 11 Pro XR, 2M" ... works perfectly with my iPhone and was going in to the Aux of my Rumble 200, and using the music app on my iPhone. Worked perfectly for me. Apologies the link is to the .com.au site, i'm sure there will be the exact same product on the US site.

Server Busy - don't knwo why it comes up as Server Busy, but this is the amazon.com.au link.

Hey everyone, just wanted to post any pics of the fender rumble extension cab 1x15 I got for my rumble 200 combo. I’m a previous member and forgot member number. Do y’all know what it is?

I got this extension cab for my 39th birthday by my loving wife. We just got married in March.

Wanted to update my equipment in the club and give a life update. I have been wanting to post pics for a long time. Sounds like butter. Extension cab made a big difference. Attached a pic of the Ibanez 305e

Outstanding, cuppa! And turning the R200c on its side matches the 115's width, too! Very cool!!

Aloha, tnj! @tobynjake, you are now member #1630 in the Fender Rumble Club. Congratulations and welcome. Please put that number in your TalkBass Signature for safe keeping. Then make yourself at home here and on your Rumble Club Wiki page, the repository of all Rumbling wisdom and knowledge.

Which Rumble model is that? And that's a very nice Jack Casady bass ya got there, too! Say, how's about telling us a bit about yourself, such as your bass experience in general and your Rumble journey in particular? You're bound to fit right in here since we have all kinds. But we all love to ... ... ...

Hi.
Yea, thats a Rumble 800 combo I just picked up.Ive been gigging an Ampeg pf800 and two 15 portaflex cabs. Sound great but those cabs are heavy, so I was looking for something lighter. This is a ridiculous 29 lbs and is almost effortless.
Apart from that though, the sound on this thing is amazing for the size.
Im currently active in two bands in my area and own Sadowsky,Fender, Epiphone,Guild and Sire basses.
And yes, they all sound great through this amp.

In with the new, out with the old.... The new Fender Rumble 800 Stage isn't that much bigger than my smaller amp, but it sure sounds bigger. It mimics my GK700RBII/410NEO cab setup very well with the default settings of of the GK800/410cab modeling. I've used that setup since 2012 and before that, GK400/800s and 4x10s, 2x10/18 from the 80s. I like that sound!

I'll get to play out with it tomorrow night and we'll see how she does!
If it handles what I throw at it, the Rumble may take the place of the much heavier and bigger GK gear.
Crossing fingers!

Hi, Johnny! @JohnMHoyt, you are now member #1631 in the Fender Rumble Club. Congratulations and welcome. Put that number in your TalkBass Signature for safe keeping. Then make yourself at home here and on your Rumble Club Wiki page, the repository of all Rumbling wisdom and knowledge.

And, for discussions on Rumble bass modeling, please use your Rumble LT25, Studio 40 & Stage 800 sub-thread so as to keep this main Club thread less complicated for the non-modeling Rumblers. General Rumblings that may concern both modeling and non-modeling are OK here, though. ;)
