Fender Rumble Club

The fan is defiantly louder than my original Rumble 200c. Just par for the course getting cheap off the shelf bulk fans. If it's a quick connect - it should be relatively easy to find a quiet higher quality substitute. I did this a lot on PC's back in the day when I had them in the studio.

Yeah - I go back & forth from 15" to 10"s. All the way back to my Bassman 50 watt head with a matching 2-15" cab (great amp) & my first (of two) SVT's with 8-10's, then the long & winding road of Acoustic (several), Sunn, SWR (several), Ashdown combo, Ampeg combo, Fender 400 combo, Rumbles etc.... I think that's all of 'em.... Probably one to two my subconscience wants to forget!

This 500c even without an extension cab would've covered 90% of all the various styles and bands I've played in!

OY! what a crazy journey! :)
Yeah, I've had most combinations. My favorite sound-as I vaguely remember-was outta the 2x12s in this thing.
1963 Bassman(I had 2 complete-amp/cabs)

Then there's this:

I had a Blue Line SVT/810 rig for ~2 1/2 years. Never really liked it(no pix)

If and when you do find a good quality quiet replacement fan, please let us know!!! I'll wait until my warranty is done then swap one in.

The R500c is my first bass amp with 10" speakers, and I did NOT expect it to sound so good. I was a 15" snob, taking a chance to find out for myself what the "catch" was on this too-good-to-be-true little powerhouse. It handled my fiver's low B string with rich, full tones that I cannot distinguish from those coming thru the Bassman Neo 115! I still don't know what the "catch" is!

Mississippi River catfish.:smug:

Well, yeah. I'm certainly hooked on Rumbles! :D:laugh::roflmao: That must be "the catch".

[UPDATE]

I received the Fender Rumble 500C from Sam Ash yesterday.
Short story - all good.

It shipped in the standard Fender carton with no other box or outer cardboard sleeve. I guess they think it's enough to protect it in shipping. I disagree, but whadda I know.

The box was pretty beat up. I was less than hopeful - but plowed on regardless.
I unboxed it, and it all looked good.

After plugging in & testing, there were no rattles or buzzing! Yay!
I think the fan is louder than it should be. I may investigate replacing it with something quieter after the warranty runs out.

This amp is STUPID loud!
With an extension cab, I could've covered any gig I've done in the last 45 years!

To me, the voicing between the 200c 15" and the 500c 2-10" speakers is slightly different. Not enough to make me want the 15" again. Nice!

I've had various setups with 10" or 15" speakers over the years, so I had an idea of what I was getting.

So a good deal all around! Good price & quick shipping. I'll take it!
I’ve had two R100s arrive single boxed without problems.

Catch of the day: G-dog. Pan fried or baked.

Hahaha! :roflmao: I'M the catch? Why, yes I am. Hook, line, and sinker ... .... and pole and tacklebox! I'm all in on Rumbles!

But I'm not supposed to do fried anymore, and it has been many, many, oh, so many moons since I've been baked. :wacky: I can do grilled! Come on, gimme the ol' third degree. Ask me anything. I can take it! o_O

Where were you when my brand new Rumble started making popping noises, hmmm?
What is the top speed of an SR-71 Blackbird?
What is the difference between a duck?

To battle other ships. Next question. (Hey, I'm pretty good at this! :))

Why do we drive on a parkway and park on a drive way?

I was right there, the same day, singing my same ol' song of "FX Return Jack Fix". I know that doesn't fix everything, but it has done the trick more than once. Sorry, it didn't work for you, but Fender replaced it, right!?

... ... What is the top speed of an SR-71 Blackbird?. ... ...

When it was flying it could travel over 2,200 mph, with a top reported speed of mach 3.4! Sadly, it no longer flys in its museum home.

The difference isn't between a duck, but in a duck. That duck DNA makes all the difference. ;)

Do you walk to school or do you carry your lunch?

Yes, I did. Both. Then I got a bike!

Why do we drive on a parkway and park on a drive way?

Tim

Nothing exceeds like excess! The prescient designers of our busiest roads knew they would become crowded, especially at rush hours when progress slows. Hence the parkway names, where you can usually drive, but twice a day traffic appears to park there.

Driveways, however, were originally the paths thru which farm live stock were "driven" on farm land. Carriages and wagons also used them for transport. With the advent of the horseless carriages those same paths, already called "driveways", became the logical place for them to park! Modern urban residential developments then provided smaller "driveways" for the popular auto voitures. Garages, of course can never contain the transport and its accouterments, plus household storage. So, many must park in the driveway.
